We stayed for 2 nights in a double en suite room, room was lovely, clean and comfortable, absolutely loved the tin bath & bucket idea for shower and sink. Only downside to the rooms are the thin walls. Kitchen facilities are good. Common area lovely, just a shame there's no bar. You do have to pay for wifi but this...

We stayed at Swellendam backpackets for only one night. ok backpackers if you are desperate for a bed. Got very little sleep due to chickens going off from 3 am. No laundry facilities that can be used by the guests. Internet is extra also.

Nice accommodation but the management is not involved with the guests. The rooms are small but clean and cosy. Internet is available but not for free. There is no bar in the hostel. Dinners are not being served however you can cook by yourself.

The room was clean and nice but a bit smelly after showering. But the owners of the lodge were not talking to guests, not there very often, sometimes the hosts makes your stay but this was the opposite and we agreed to pay on arrival but they charged the creditcard before. Swellendam itself is a nice little town but my...

We stayed in a little wooden hut in the garden which had no electricity and only two very poor solar lamps. The shared bathroom was on the other side of the garden. The garden was actually quite pretty, the hut was very basic. Shared bathroom was okay, we didn't use any other communal space or the kitchen as we arrived...

I had a fabulous stay at the backpackers. I stayed in the garden cottage which was comfortable and cosy, good quality linen. Had dinner in the communal braai area with another couple which is the great thing about backpackers:you always meet new interesting people as opposed to staying in more formal accommodation. The ablution facilities are across the courtyard and...

We spent the night here and had a good time. We could come and go as we pleased and kirk was a great host. The pets are friendly and add to the place. The room was nice and the showers were warm. All amenities are great however there was no tea coffee or milk which I would say is a...

My lady and I spent 2 nights in the en suite room next to the common room. The owner was friendly, kind and accommodating. The property is a large and beautiful one with many different giant trees and comfortable chill spots spread out in the garden. They have three beautiful and shy dogs and a very loving ginger cat. The...

We stayed in the garden hut, which was perfect for us. The hut was clean and warm and cosy, and we spent a lot of time in the main house by the braai in the evenings. Stephanie is very helpful and friendly and made our stay very enjoyable and comfortable. There is a lovely atmosphere here and we would highly...

We stayed for one night at this Backpacker in a double room. The room itself was rather common and the cleanness was OK. However, the main facilities closed at 10pm so that there is no option to use any inside common room or even the fridge and kitchen after 10pm. Fürther, I'd like to point out that there are three...
