This was our first time both in S.Africa and Franschhoek and from the moment you arrive at the hotel you know you are somewhere very special. The view is nothing short of spectacular and one we never tired of whether it was from the pool area or from the terrace where we ate brea

Our second visit here, what a wonderful place. To be greeted with “ come on in, you’re part of the family” is heartwarming and very special. Our room was beautiful with everything you could possibly need. Sitting in your own balcony looking out at the rose garden, sipping some ch

Dear Caz293, It’s always a pleasure to welcome old friends back to our ‘corner of heaven’ and you really are a part of the family! Maybe we are biased but we have to agree that there’s no better way to enjoy an afternoon than enjoying a chilled glass of wine while taking in the views of the rose garden, and we loved hearing your feedback about the picnic. We hope to see you again one day in the not too distant future. Kind regards, James Basson General Manager james.basson@montrochelle.virgin.com

A very special experience. My wife and I had 3 nights here, and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Firstly, it's an impressive looking drive up to the main building. You feel you are decompressing as you make the drive up. We were met as old friends, even though it was our first visit.

Dear Paul E R, It was a true pleasure to welcome you and your wife to Mont Rochelle and the whole team really enjoyed reading your review, so we wanted to say thank you for sharing it. It particularly made us smile when we heard that you felt as though you were ‘decompressing’ on your way up the drive! Geraldine and Peter were so touched by the personal mentions and when they heard that they helped to make your stay a pleasure – thank you. We very much hope to have the opportunity to welcome our newfound friends back one day in the not too distant future. Kind regards, James Basson General Manager james.basson@montrochelle.virgin.com

We enjoyed a fabulous dinner at sunset at Miko restaurant. The view was stunning. Dinner was beautifully presented and delicious. The chocolate fondant dessert was the best. Impeccable service from our waitress, Tabitha!

From the moment we arrived until the end of our stay this hotel was more like a home than a hotel

Hello, my family and I are looking to stay with you for 2 nights in May. My agent is making the reservation. I'm not a wine person at all and I'm worried about getting a bit bored there for 2 nights. What other activities can one do around the area, especially if we are having a transfer take us there and will not have a rental car? Thank you!
Hello CGriffiths, Thank you so much for getting in touch, we are delighted to hear that you and your family are thinking of paying us a visit. Although Franschhoek is known for its wine, there’s plenty of other things to see and do that we think you will enjoy! Our location at the foot of the Klein Dassenberg Mountain Range boasts beautiful panoramic views (and some of the best sunrises and sunsets in South Africa!). The French influence in the area means that there are fantastic art galleries and museums to explore, and if you like to get active you can make the most of the fantastic golf courses, cycling and hiking routes. We even have horse riding and scooter tours. We very much hope to welcome you to Mont Rochelle in May! Kind regards, James Basson General Manager

Bonjour, Est ce que le petit dejeuner est à la carte ou buffet? Pouvons nous utiliser la piscine an aout malgré l'hiver austral? Hello, Is the breakfast à la carte or buffet? Can de use the pool in august or it is too cold? Thank you!!!
