Stayed for a couple of nights post a business trip in Cape Town. Wow - a lovely boutique hotel with a fabulous room. A nice pool in a relatively enclosed area with fantastic mountain views. We also ate in the restaurant and had, as with our previous visit, a superb meal. It's a lovely town and if you are in...

Franschhoek is a beautiful town in the wine region and this hotel has got to be the gem of the area. The rooms are quaint, but luxurious, with beautiful view of the mountains. There is a pool (though too cold to use in winter), and outstanding breakfast in the restaurant. Not to mention that arguably the best restaurant on the...

We love staying here. Located right in the wonderful town you can enjoy all the local shops and restaurants. It's totally safe. The hotel service is outstanding. Even a hot water bottle in your bed when you come back! I highly recommend it. The fine dining we enjoyed on one night. Outstanding

We arrived on a rather cloudy winters day but Franschhoek was still beautiful. The town is small with a few quite exclusive shops on the main street. We were buzzed in at the gate of Le Quartier Francais, parking in the parking lot. The entrance is a little uninspiring. We were met initially by a big smiling face from the...

We only got to stay one night here and 2-3 would have been so much better! Our suite was lovely and I can't begin to tell you of all the little extras that make this place perfect. Book dinner at the Tasting Room when you make your overnight reservation. That too was out of this world and a great "last...

We had a lot of guests staying at the hotel for my nieces wedding at Rickety Bridge and it was the perfect place. The staff couldn't have been more helpfull even with 1 or 2 guests a little worse for wear after the wedding. The rooms were very comfortable with everything you needed and I would certainly recommend this hotel.

What can I say. Everything about this place oozes charm. For starters, the hotel staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. The place is absolutely charming –– just like one's image of a cottage hotel in the French wine country. Although it feels like being in the country, the main entrance actually faces the main street of the small and utterly...

Absolutely blown away! I loved the place. Only one problem. Could not stay longer. I had one of the upstairs rooms. Very spacious and nice. Visiting in the winter months it is all quiet and you get to enjoy the fireplace. TIP: It's pretty difficult to get a place at the "Tasting Room", but if you are in house guest...

I wouldn't even call this a hotel, it's like being a guest at a beautiful and tranquil private home. The suites are elegant but understated and comfortable. Walking from the Four Quarters where we stayed, to the office or dining room for breakfast, you had to traverse by two pools through a maze of exotic plants, including a number of...

Although we stayed during rainy weather, we couldn't have been happier that we chose this beautiful place. We loved the tranquility, it was unlike any hotel where you normally hear doors slam and neighbor's televisions. We wish we had the opportunity to use our beautiful patio and swim in the pool but we enjoyed the fireplace in our room just...

83 Km from Cape Town, Le Quartier Francais is in the heart of the vineyards of the famous Franschhoek valley of the French Huguenots. Located in the village centre, this privately owned hotel and restaurant is an exquisite stopping place on the wine trail and the trace of the history of the Huguenot settlers, between Mont Rochelle, Haute Provence, Moreson.
