Loved our stay at Maison d'Ail! Nice and quiet, but still only a short walk away from the bustling main road. Stunning views of surrounding mountains. Good and friendly service. Some background music in the breakfast room would be a welcome distraction and staff to write down breakfast order, as the lady got our bread order wrong on both mornings...

We stayed 1night in Room 1. Excellent service - reception called 2 days prior to our arrival to inform us that we can check in early, i.e. 10:00. Lovely room -tastefully decorated. A beautiful guesthouse - tucked away in a quiet spot. Room 1 is on ground floor - close to the kitchen / dining area - so you will...

Nice small guest house in Franchoek. Quiet area with stunning views. Friendly and service minded hosts. Fantastic breakfast. The guest house is stylish with a tranquil enclosed garden. When we are visiting Franschoek again I would not hesitate to stay here again.

A high quality guest house on the edge of Franschhoek,.Great facilities and a comfortable room. Breakfast was particularly good and the owners were helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our two night stay. We walked into town each night ,which took about ten minutes and enjoyed the great restaurants and bars available. A great place to stay!

We stayed four nights in this guest house, it is excellent from accommodation, food, tranquility and close to the centre of the village which has amazing restaurants. Highly recommend it and thanks to Clive and Jeanne Garlick for their hospitality.

We spent the evening at Maison d'Ail Guest House as we were in town or a wedding; it was refreshing to be in a room where everything you needed was there, and more importantly - in a working condition! Breakfast was delightful, having it outside on the patio, overlooking the swimming pool and the mountains close by. We will definitely...

We were pleasantly surprised at the thoughtfulness of the owners (Clive and Jeanne Garlick, hence the name) regarding good quality amenities, bedding, towels, etc. We also enjoyed their dog, Zach. :-) The room is large and the breakfast quality and service (fresh baked croissants and apple turnovers) is great. The location is near the center of town, yet quiet and...

Beautiful and calm place with the amazing mountains in the background and a short walk away from the centre of the little village of Franschhoek. Nice room and great breakfast. Loved it! There is definitely a provençal feel to it.

Such a wonderful stay here and they couldn't do enough for us. They made sure we had transport sorted for us gave us all the directions we needed for our onward journey. The guest house itself is absolutely beautiful and the surroundings are stunning. Best hot breakfast of all the guesthouses we stayed in! Thank you.

We had a wonderful stay here, a well equipped room and stunning views of the mountains. It's in a very peaceful location too. The only reason I haven't marked this as excellent is because the breakfast didn't have a large amount of choice and anything ordered that's cooked comes covered in chopped parsley, even toast! Also the staff didn't have...
