We stayed in one of the self catering cottages here for 1 night. Wonderful views all round of the mountains, the vineyards and the 2 pet ostriches with their 2 babies outside the window!! This is a working winemaking farm, so if you want 5* then don't stay here!. It is very rustic, as you would expect on a working...

I booked two self catering cottages for us and a couple travelling with us, about 4 months in advance,. The hostess replied that these were available to us at the time of my booking. However when we arrived she'd let out the cottages so that she could make extra money by putting my husband and i and our fellow travellers...

I’m sorry these guests had such a bad experience and I apologise for my role in causing this. Just to point out: The guests shared the spacious unit, consisting of 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, with their friends whom they were travelling with and not with random guests. The living/dining room is communal and there are basic kitchen facilities. Guests...

The charming hosts made our stay special – everything from a delightful wine tasting to going out of their way to assist with other accommodation for an extra night. Great facilities with a lovely big spring water pool and tennis courts on the edge of the vines. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this as a great getaway for a few days.

We attended a wedding in Franschhoek, and just wanted a place to stay over for the night as we never wanted to drive back to cape Town, so we booked La Provence Vinyard Cottage and for the price we definitely thought it was something where we would not want to spend much time other than sleep. Once we arrived, the...

We spend one night at La Provence while visiting Franschhoek with our kids. The accommodation is old-ish, but fits in nicely with the feel of the wine farm. Our room had a small kitchenette and enough space for 5 people and an awesome view over the vineyards. Very good service. A nice budget friendly place to stay to explore the...

For the first time in my life my wife and I slept in a wine tank. Rather on the small side, but for a sleepover after 70th birthday adequate. The problem is however we never made it to the party as the wine supplied through the shower was very intoxicating! Owners very friendly and helpful!. For a once in a...

All you can ask for and more. A walk through the wine farm's traditional wine making facilities is a must. Meet the local ostriches! If you are keen on a run, every Saturday there is the local Parkrun through the vineyard.
