When you approach the location - it is very impressive!! When you open the door the cottage: the door is stuck! When you enter the room, the view is absolutly GREAT! When you go closer to the windwo, you see a rotten window blind! When you want to sleep, you cannot hear the River roar but the fridge!! How can...

Augrabies Rest Camp, Augrabies Falls National Park, South Africa June 2016 Our booking was done way in advance and when we arrived at Augrabies Falls National Park we reported at the information centre for direction to the Augrabies Rest Camp. We were welcomed and all the admin were sorted out with the help of the staff. We were informed of...

We spent two nights here in a bungalow. The bungalow was spacious and comfortable, with a kitchen. All very clean. Only the frontporch is not that comfortable since the seating is only on a concrete bench, but there are cushions provided. The Park Restaurant is astonishingly nice and good. And of course the National Park per se is reason enough...

Spent two nights in a family chalet, there were four adults in the party. We had not booked in advance as we had booked into a lodge elsewhere in the area but could not access due to a poor gravel road to reach our planned destination. Four adults with two weeks of luggage traveling in a Toyota Yaris, we only...

With its stark, arid scenery and impressive waterfall, Augrabies is spectacularly beautiful. An elevated walkway meanders across the rocks to viewpoints above the Falls and gorge which are illuminated for a couple of hours after dark. Take a torch as it's inky-black when the lights go off. The starry heavens are breathtaking, a must for stargazers. Several good dirt roads...

This was my first trip to Augrabies falls. We stayed over on our way to Namibia and again on the way back. On both occasions we wished we could stay longer. The falls are spectacular to say the least. The rest camp accommodation really impressed us. We've had some bad experiences with SANParks facilities but this was definitely not one...

We stayed overnight in one of the chalets and found it very comfy. It's quite a while since they've been refurbished and they could do with a bit of an upgrade. The area around the camp is very easy to reach for children and adults and people in wheelchairs. Wonderful photographic opportunities. Their signage for the walks is a bit...

My two children and I stayed here for a long weekend. The Rest Camp is great. It's basically one large room with an en suite bathroom which is huge. There are two single beds and a couch bed that is (as their website states) only suitable for children (most tall adults would hang over the end. Chalets are well equipped...

Loved Augrabies the falls only make up a small part of the attraction. The park is really interesting with the different wildlife encountered. My children loved it as well. Resturant was okay. We had some amazing bird sightings and as in the whole area really beautiful sunsets. Can highly recomend. Part of our family holiday to kgalagadi and Richtersveld. Would...
