After a long drive to the lodge we were greeted at the reception with a welcome drink. You leave your car at reception and then a ranger comes to take you and your luggage to the lodge itself which is about a further 6 minutes away. By the time you arrive you are very much aware of how remote it...

I am mystified by some of the high praise that Kazuko receives, and the huge amount of rave reviews the hotel gets on Tripadvisor. Maybe we were a little spoilt by some of the other hotels we stayed in whilst travelling through South Africa (and any reader is welcome to see my reviews on these), but the exceptionally high standards...

Thank you for taking the time to be so detailed in your review. It surely makes it easier to 'catch up', pull up the socks in the rest of the lodge and get in gear to become the ''enviable lodge in an enviable position'' that we are. We would like to invite you back on your next trip to enjoy...

We had the most wonderful time at this lodge. When we saw our accommodation we were struck by the awesome nature of the views from the room, words cannot describe it. Our tour operator booked us on a VIP package and we were so surprised to see that the first night we had dinner in our room. What a fabulous...

60km off the beaten track (probably best to have a 4x4) lies this idyllic game reserve. Full board accommodation in lovely lodges, overlooking the park means you can forget about the world for a few days. Two 3 hour game drives a day which are geared up to help you catch a glimpse of the big 5 are well organised...

we stayed at the recently refurbished farm house below the main reserve called Kuzuko Country House aka Hopewell House. We had a huge 10 sleeper house to ourselves that was beautiful decorated with all the mod cons. Around us we had giraffe, zebra and wildebeest roaming. Totally magical experience and we hope we can come back. Big Thanks to Freddy...

Having never experience safari before, we were pretty much guaranteed to be impressed. Being able to feel a lion's breath on your arm as he strolls past your jeep is pretty special. Yes, this is a private reserve so it's small, not like the vastness of Kruger. But it's 72km around, so it's not like a local UK safari park....

As this was a safari lodge one would expect it to be remote and the journey to get there from Port Elizabeth was remote in the fact the last half hour is on unmade roads but not that bad that it made it difficult to drive. In bad weather it may have been different. I personally enjoyed the journey but...

It was worth getting up for the ones at sunrise... that's when we saw the lions. Thanks to our guide Ronald for making it a great trip - he was so enthusiastic, knowledgeable and friendly and we had lots of laughs. Also to the food and beverage manageress Lee for...

The hotel itself is set in a beautiful surrounding but this is by no way a 5 stars hotel. Staff at front desk and management over friendly in a very fake way. Food was very average but service at the restaurant was lovely. About the game drives- I should start with the fact that this is a private reserve so...

The first thing that I didn't expect was the 40km drive across a road that was at times no better that a dirt track, so when I arrived I was less than relaxed. However on arrival it all changed, a welcoming (soft) drink and a prompt transfer to the hotel complex and I was soon settled in my room ready...
