Booked the Water's Edge for a last minute long weekend and it exceeded our expectations. We had an E+ room in the newer ocean view building. It was larger than our first apartment. When you enter it has two bedrooms and two baths off a...More
This was our second trip to Water's Edge for the week after Labor Day. The staff is always nice and accommodating. The view from our balcony was fantastic (we were on the fourth floor).

Been going to Water's Edge for 15 years. Nice clean place, very friendly employees. Maid service every day. The owners are great. Will help you in any way they can. Love the Water's Edge and will continue to go there.
Type E rm: Clean, comfortable rms with private balcony. Full k, (plates, mugs, silver, coffee pot, toaster, micro, full stove n fridge - no pots or pans), plenty of space for 4-6 adults. Close to end of boardwalk, easy access to beach. Will definately return.
Very clean and comfortable room overlooking the sun deck and very close to the boardwalk and fishing pier in Wildwood Crest. Our private balcony was great for ocean views, bicycle rentals were very close, and restaurants and shops were a short walk away.

Sorry for the late response. Yes, you can easily walk to the beach, although the distance you would have to walk from Water's Edge to the shoreline seems like roughly a mile. While I have never been to North Wildwood's beach, I can say the beach closest to this hotel does seem pretty crowded, but the beach is bbig enough that I had no problem finding a place to set my stuff.
Additionally, while the distance from the hotel to the end of the boardwalk is only a few hundred feet, and although there are some games and stores right there, you have to walk considerably longer to get to the main attractions (rides, arcades, etc.).
