Very nice older hotel. Excellent restaurant with lively bar and a house organ. Very popular to stay in the Summer, so reserve early. A fine bike ride to Barnagat Lighthouse. Go around traffic circle to 3rd turnoff, a short distance away on the right.

I had dinner at the surf city restaurant in the surf city hotel I paid with a credit card. When I checked my credit card statement the bill was more than it was suppose to be. Spoke to the manger mark said he would get back to me but never did. Would never eat here again they changed the receipt...

We visited friends that had a house rented for a week in Surf City, we only wanted a few nights so it was not viable to rent accommodation. We chose this hotel as it was close to the beach. (very very close) Although we were told that the hotel was very dated by our friends we were very shocked when...

A group of us booked two nights accommodation at the Surf City hotel. Upon arrival two of the rooms had not been cleaned with empty food packets littered around the room and the beds were not made up! Totally unacceptable. The rooms are very outdated and in need of a total refurb. In our room the floor sloped from one...

I rented 2 rooms for 4 nights in July. Never was I told this is a main location for bands to play every evening...for some reason the young man who took my reservation failed to mention this. The bands play until 2am every day! DO NOT plan to try to sleep until after this time each night. Also, their A/C...

Friday night after a long exhausting working week I called thinking they were going to laugh at me for asking for a room the next day. Luckily they had the last one available and was able to book it in seconds. We arrived the next morning and they took care of us ever since. We stayed over the weekend and...

We have stayed here before and could see that some upgrades by the new owners had been made. We stayed in room 21 (separate from the main building which is way too loud). Seemed clean, relatively new paint. The bed was comfortable and they upgraded their towels which was really nice. They could use to upgrade the tv too though....

Bathroom was clean with plenty of hot water. ice maker is located outside in the back of the hotel(minor issue) .Biggest issue was noise from the entertainment...

It was late in the season and the hotel seemed to be shutting down. The room was clean and the hot water worked Avoid the buffet. It was heavy on Pasta items. The premium meat was sliced Roast beef. No Chicken. The seafood item was Salmon Crochets. At twenty-five dollars it was over priced. OKAY if you are a Pasta...

I guess for the price I shouldn't complain. But be ware you get what you pay for. The room was musty and stuffy with a non working ac. The TV had issues as well. Not updated and the mini blinds let in a lot of light. We had asked for an accessible room which they don't have and should've stayed...
