I was in Stanhope for a concert at the historic Stanhope House and wanted to stay overnight. I remembered going for a walk in the neighborhood last time I was in town for a show and seeing the Whistling Swan Inn, (it's only a 4 minute walk from the venue) so my husband and I decided to give it a...

Thank you for the lovely review. We're so glad you had fun. It is a very convenient walk from the inn the the Stanhope House. we'll look forward to seeing you both again - perhaps in the spring/summer when you can enjoy the garden and veranda. Ros

We just love this place and will keep coming back! The staff is friendly, helpful and makes sure you have what you need but stays out of the way. The food is the best! We love coming here in the winter, quite but there is always places open.

House is very charming. We wish we could have seen the gardens in the spring or summer. Very clean and tidy. Breakfast had wide selection and was high quality. Our room (Lenape) was comfortable and well supplied. Pleasant owners. Very good price for the experience. Really, everything a bed and breakfast should be.

It was delightful having you at the inn. We do try to have a wide selection for breakfast, and we're glad you enjoyed ours. The gardens are beautiful in the spring/summer, and I'm sure you would love them. Kind regards,

The Inn had the standard amenities you would expect - teas, coffee and sweets in the parlor and a comfortable open seating area. The breakfast was very tasty. The issue came with the room and the slightly disgruntled innkeeper. I chose the Tranquility Room for the huge soaking tub. The problem was the oddly shaped room. The bed was nestled...

We strive to ensure every guest has an enjoyable experience at the Whistling Swan Inn and are very sorry this guest's expectations were not met. The Tranquility room is one of our classic rooms located on the third floor, which does have a pitched roof. The photos on the web site accurately represent the reality of the room; sometimes however...

When searching for a venue for our wedding, my husband and I wanted small and intimate. Not only did we find the perfect venue in Whistling Swan, we found a place we plan to return to celebrate our anniversary - even though it's only ten minutes from our house, and we will recommend it to visiting friends and family from...

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a night and enjoyed every second of it. The house was exceptionally clean and we felt right at home. The breakfast was amazing too. (Try their French toast) To top it off, the surrounding neighborhood is a fun place to walk and shop around. Check out the antique stores down the road because...

I visited The Whistling Swan this past weekend with my boyfriend and feel as though I found my go to B&B. The Inn is situated on a quiet residential road with ample parking in the back and the property is beautiful. A few of my favorite features were the wrap around porch, the Koi pond and the lovely garden area...

It was absolutely delightful chatting with you both, and we're glad you had a positive experience at the inn. We do try to have something for everyone at breakfast, and the spinach quiche and baked French toast are guest favorites. Yes, the slanted ceiling in the Lenape room can be a bit tricky; I hope you peeked in the other...

My wife and I had a wonderful time at the Whistling Swan. The Inn is beautiful. Ros, the owner, was very nice and accommodating. We had the romantic package and were greeted with roses, dipped strawberries and a bottle of champagne. If you are going to be in Stanhope I highly recommend visiting the Whistling Swan.

This was a very nice place my sister booked for the entire weekend for her wedding party and ceremony. While it was in a residential area, it was close to anything we needed. The staff were quite accommodating and the Owner/Inn Keeper, Ros, was on top of our every need and want. It was a classic wedding and reception, with...
