Hotel was nice our first had a broken ac unit and they put us in a smaller room but same price. We took the shuttle to the cruise port which was ok going over but coming back we had to wait to 2.5 hrs in the hot sun to get a ride back as the driver forgot about us. Think twice before using them as a cruise shuttle.
If you expect a no-frills stay with a simple breakfast and a comfortable room, that’s the bar for most of the Hampton Inns that I’ve stayed where I’ve left refreshed and happy every time. Except this one. This property lowered the bar to the point that I had to write a review after three years off TripAdvisor. While the room had the newer renovated feel of many Hampton Inns, it felt like it was either still being renovated or falling in disrepair. We were in Room 125 where the air conditioner did not work at all and the room was humid and warm, to the point where the floor felt moist. There was an unfinished electrical plate (see pic) and only one trash can (normally both the main room and bathroom have separate cans). The lighting was sparse and gloomy, and the shower was loud (couldn’t isolate the water to only come out of the shower head, so it was simultaneously coming out of the main spout). The drain to both the shower and sink were also rusted. The gym wasn’t climate controlled and they kept open the door so that all the humidity from the pool made the gym feel like a swamp. Even though the room was missing basic amenities, the chest of drawers did have one thing that was left behind from a past guest….a glass crack pipe. See pic #2. I tried not to think what else housekeeping missed or didn’t do. Breakfast was a complete mess - maybe they weren’t prepared for the Memorial Day crowd, but they only had one coffee dispenser out at a very busy time and the hot water for the tea was lukewarm at best. Everyone was circling around the only hot items because they couldn’t keep up with demand. They also ran out of tea and the staff searched all over the kitchen not knowing where it was stored. For a place that charges almost $250 a night… Yes, we did tell the front desk staff and they just shrugged off the complaints.…
Great location! Great staff! Great breakfast! Great beds/rooms! Everything was clean. Ice machine easy to find. Ample room space & furniture. We just wish the pool would’ve been open during our stay. Would definitely stay here again!
This place was horrible from the check in; traveling with 2 small kids 6 hours to find out the pool was closed they never told me this when we made the reservation had I known that we would’ve never stayed here. we did not arrive here till late so it was too late to change hotels the next morning break all they had for breakfast was cold eggs and ham no other variety. We went to get showers there was only two towels and one washcloth tried to call down the front desk the phone didn’t work after we walked to the front desk we were told that there were no clean towels they were all in the wash and they never did bring them to the room two hours later still waiting!! This is highly unacceptable and I am completely disgusted with the service and the amenities here I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to my dog!! Please go elsewhere!!…
We have been driving since Florida and were exhausted. Expedia messed up and I felt overwhelmed. JULIUS v. Took my call, made sure I was all set and had a room waiting for me. I had my mom and 3 of my sons, so I was VERY thankful to have a nice, clean room waiting . It was great having a warm breakfast before we left, the next warming. 2 of my sons have high functioning autism and she was great with them I am SO happy to k ow I was in good hands. Julius went above and beyond for my family, and I am VERY greatful!!grateful!!! Thank you so much
Great! We love Leslie! They are kind amd so friendly! We are always feeling welcome when we arrived at the hotel! Front desk and housekeeping team are so nice. Especially Villie, he is our best! Thank you guys!!!!
Too bad in cleanliness of room.. did not expect this from hilton. Would never recommend the service to any one in future. hoping this will be taken care going forward. I have clicked picture of the room, I can submit if required
Stayed 3 nights here. Cons: - Rooms - old hardware and poorly maintained. Microwave missing knobs, rusty bathroom drains, laughably low water pressure. - Location - you need to study the map or you'll miss the entrance. Two of my uber drivers did. It's easier to tell them to go for the gas station. Also not the easiest if you wanna go west from the hotel or coming from the east. - Noise - There's a semi parking space in the back of the hotel and man are they loud when they try to park at night. Pro - Even with the depressing room and weather, this property still upholds Hampton Inn's consistency in providing awesome breakfast. I can't say I'll go back to this hotel but I'll be loyal to Hampton Inns.
Stay away from this Hampton Inn Ridgefield Park if LESLY GELIN is GM, Please don't believe him. Always double-check paperwork. LESLY GELIN Lied and threaten me that he will cancel my Hilton Honors account when I ask some help about being overcharged. Lesly is a rude general manager I have dealt with in my life. Stay away
Staff are very nice and rooms were clean. Poor room maintenance! Ours was missing sink drainage, hair blower, coffee maker had no coffee nor carafe, phone to call front desk was not working, faucet was dripping, tv remote’s back was missing so all back was taped to hold batteries. Another customer was asking for change of room due to issues too, so maybe it was just our room! Manager needs to personally inspect each room!
