Booked The Albatross at the last minute and didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. It's a charming, quirky boarding house-style inn located steps away from the beach. Bill, the owner, welcomed us warmly and provided great dining recommendations. Our room was on the 3rd floor - small, with two twin beds and a sink. A shower and...

Albatross Hotel is strategically located at the center of all attractions Ocean Grove offers; Beautiful beaches, a magnificent church/auditorium built over one hundred years ago, well maintained Victorian houses and a serene Main Street reminiscent of historic America. We have been coming to this charming enclave of peace, tranquility and rest for physical and spiritual rejuvenation, almost every weekend for...

Whether on business like this weekend, or a few days away at the beach...I love coming back to the albatross. Location is convenient, rooms are comfortable, and the owner is always available to assist with any special requests. Save me a place on the porch, I will be back soon!

I should have read the reviews. I checked in and half an hour later, checked out. Filthy, dark, no hospitality. The lobby felt neglected, the room was dirty. I was asked to not bring food into the room to prevent roaches! I left found a lovely, clean we'll run B & B. This place should be condemned!

We stayed here for one night which is fortunate, because if we were supposed to stay longer I would have slept in my car. The room was creepy, unsafe and beyond old. For the price I was expecting a lot more. The fire detector was hanging from the ceiling (so we assume it didn't work) and the heating units along...

This Hotel is steeped in history and Ocean Grove was a very exclusive place to be turn of the century. It was owned by two sisters, their father a wealthy industrialist purchased it for them in the 1800's. I took a tour before choosing my room, which by the way was sunny and done in beautiful Victorian lace curtains and...

As an old hotel you have to expect uneven floors, peeling paint and small rooms. In which could all be part of the "charming" experience. However, this hotel fails on cleanliness, maintenance and communication within staff. Unnecessary clutter, sticky dust, dirty floors, rotten floors under carpet and shower stalls, water damage on ceiling and unprofessional service. The owners like to...

We stayed there the weekend of August 15. The location was great, the owner was super helpful and hospitable. The place is charming and cozy. charming. Our room was very clean as well as the facilities and bathrooms. Breakfast was an added bonus with Bill being very gracious and accommodating. Will definitely be back!
