Stayed here many times over the last 10 years and always a great stay. This past holiday weekend was especially a pleasure. Terrible as far as the weather was concerned, but the staff made it such a pleasurable weekend despite such. Sydni was a gem at the front desk and kept a gloomy weekend pleasurable with charm and grace in many rainy day conversations and dealing with most patrons including myself whom were shut in for a few days. Dawn the GM was also a fab piece of the outfit. It is not a five star Marriott so do not expect it to be. There is just what you need and that is all. You make it what it is. I look for 2 things immediately and am very picky with --1. Staff and service to be cordial and comforting as that is the pampering I expect while I am away from the normal stress of life. 2. Cleanliness (beds, bathrooms, common spaces, etc. ) OBH has always been consistent with both and that made this stay again just what was needed! So if clean, simple quarters is all you require, this is the place for you. If you want to complain the whole time about every little detail, go somewhere else as the rest of us who will be staying would prefer that you do! Otherwise, see you there!…
Was supposed stay 2 nites got there on Friday ckd in room was smaller than a walk in closet no hot water bed was just a full bed no mattress just a box spring just One outlet in the room already had four things plugged into it room was built under the stairs Heard people going up and down All night long we got there hour's of sleep wife would not stay again for Saturday night hotel will not refund My money for Saturday night stay .. stay away from this hotel The management became very combative when I complained And refused to refund the money for the night we didn't stay . Since we’ve stayed at the sister motel, we were sent an email special for the Ocean Breeze and made it our last hurrah for summer. This is a no frills kind of place (small room, few amenities, 2 blocks back from the boardwalk and beach), but like the title, if you’re simply looking for a place to sleep and clean up, it does the job. We’re getting older and are not always up to the super simple beach room arrangement anymore, but that’s on us not the motel. The price is tough to beat for a last-minute, 3 night beach stay.
It was in a good location, close to the beach. The pool was nice also. However, there was no “continental breakfast” as indicated, only coffee. This hotel seems to be run by college students who don’t seem to care. To get the deposit back on our beach tags, we had to wait well over 30 minutes in the lobby. Throughout our staff, we also saw people waiting for an attendant at the front desk. Again, good location, just poorly run staff. Shame.
The hotel was nice but not recommended for older people as the stairs are just too much, especially with luggage and coolers, we stayed in a junior suite deluxe, all on the 3rd floor and it was rough for the two over 60 to do the stairs. For the price, it was very clean and plenty of room for our family. We enjoyed the porch, but were disappointed in the fact that there was no breakfast any of the days we were there and no one had told us at check in there wouldn’t be any due to the virus . The pool was very small but very clean and it was refreshing to go in. Thankfully it wasn’t ever really crowded and when others did go in they kept their distance. No one came in to clean any of the days we were there. It was nice for the weekend but would not recommend for any longer.
