This is probably the hotel with the worst soundproofing. Several times we thought that our door to the corridor was open. The people talking when passing by sounded like they are inside the room… We chose this hotel because they have an outdoor pool. When booking the hotel there was no information that the pool is ”closed for renovation” as they later indicate in their web site. Seeing the pool you can see that there is no renovation in process, the pool is simply closed. There was a patio area to sit and relax but that has not been cleaned or serviced for a looong time. The chairs were covered with spider webs and bird stool 😝 We stayed for a week and many small things were annoying. Coming in we noticed that the safe was locked. We asked the maintenance to come and open it. Nothing happened and next day I asked again. They said that they did open the safe yesterday. I said that it is still locked by a Code we do not know. They had gone to wrong room and opened wrong safe. Probably a safe of a guest who had their valuables inside! Every day they delivered one bath towel less than needed. More toilet paper was not given until we asked for it. Same for plastic cups The elevator is so dark that you cannot see the buttons. Small things that could be easily fixed (except soundproofing) would make this hotel much more tempting.…
Great stay. I prefer higher end hotels, but I was pleasantly surprised. Newly renovated rooms and SUPER CLEAN. Very comfortable stay. Would stay there again. They are doing a great job with the renovations. Please see the pictures so see the rooms.
We were booked for 5 nights to attend our daughter's wedding (no confirmation number or email follow up ever given--we booked as part of a wedding so had only a phone call with "Jeff" to go on)...we found our suite not ready, so another suite on a different floor was substituted. The booking process by phone was convoluted and "Jeff" rushed us off because he had a meeting he had to attend. The room was tiny (for a suite), dark, smelly and neither the telephone nor the TV remote worked. The Keurig machine was perched so high up I couldn't reach the water reservoir. The $16 breakfast was slim pickings, to say the least. The front desk only provided the bride's welcome bag when we reminded them, the after-party restaurant went bankrupt five days before the wedding and they didn't tell the bride until two days before (they had lost their liquor license)...in fact, the whole experience was so unpleasant, we went down the road to Homewood Suites, booked the remaining four nights there, told them how shoddily the Holiday Inn situation was, and stayed there, even though we had PREPAID and STILL WERE REGISTERED in the suite at Holiday Inn, which we had to go back and forth to for wedding events...we were willing to take the financial hit just to be able to enjoy our daughter's wedding. If that doesn't tell you all you need to know...A particularly shameful incident was when we checked on the room on the third day and found that all our personal belongings we had left there had been stolen--the bride's welcome bag, unopened bags of snacks for the after party, a cooler which we'd bought because we now had to provide our own food and beverages for the after party IN A CONFERENCE ROOM....this hotel let us down in every way. Other guests (two separate guests) were given keys to rooms that were occupied -- and one walked in on a compromising situation! Never again for this place--for the same price we had bright, airy, spacious, clean rooms and a full kitchen five minutes down the road at Homewood Suites.…
First off, this hotel is VERY deceiving. It’s not SOME areas of the hotel under renovation, it’s literally the ENTIRE hotel!! I felt dirty just walking into this hotel. There’s sawdust everywhere, carpets ripped up, holes in the ceiling, construction workers EVERYWHERE, and caution tape EVERYWHERE. Also, there were some very “shady” people smoking weed and doing other sketchy things in the halls!!! My wife and I were supposed to stay here because she was having surgery at Hackensack Hospital, and we needed to stay somewhere to prep and relax the night before. Well, this was NOT the place to do so. We reluctantly checked in, got our room key, carefully made our way to the elevator, and TRIED to get to our room. Once we got there, our room door was open, and there was a NAKED MAN in the bed!!!!! Needless to say we turned around, went back to the desk, and VERY CALMLY demanded we leave and remove the hold on out card. If we stayed here, we might not have made it out alive..... I WISH I was kidding!!! Not only is this place under construction, but it’s DANGEROUS to even have people staying there!! Holiday Inn and IHG should be ASHAMED of themselves!!! Do yourself a favor and STEER CLEAR of this place and check into Home2 by Hilton right next door. That’s what we did! Sure, that hotel may cost more per night, but if you stay at this Holiday Inn, you’re literally taking your life into your own hands. PLEASE STAY AWAY!!…
It is a pretty decent hotel. Nothing too fancy and there is no room service during the night , so you have to use your delivery apps. The members of the staff were friendly and efficient. Make sure that you bring your own adaptors if you are traveling from abroad.
We live several hours away; I stayed overnight after dropping a friend at Newark Airport and not wanting to drive home late. I was pleased! Room had windows that open, which is a rare treat--just a few inches, but enough to let in lots of fresh air. Also in the room were safe, microwave, refrigerator, and coffeemaker. Beds were comfortable. Internet worked fine. All staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included in my rate; it looks like a standard breakfast buffet, but was a couple of notches above: the eggs were real and freshly made (not the powdered egg substance often found at buffets), as were the potatoes; the coffee was strong; the seating was plentiful; and the service was attentive. The hotel also uses greenery and plants in creative and attractive ways. I will be happy to stay here again if the situation arises.…
Room was ok, pretty standard for most holiday inns. Was surprised that I was handed a bill for $40 for 2 for a pretty generic breakfast. First time I’ve had to pay separately for breakfast at their hotels. Wish I would’ve know, we would’ve gone out for breakfast to a better place instead. 🤷🏻♂️
Stayed 2 nights in September 2019 as part of a tour. Good room on the ground floor, 2 big beds, plenty of cupboard and wardrobe space. Also a safe, plenty of power points and free wi-fi. Beds comfortable, decent bathroom with good shower, plenty of mirrors though lighting not great. Staff seem affable, Grille seems a bit pricey but plenty of food on the plate. Coffee making machine didn't work and nothing to make tea with. Disappointing. Large TV, alarm clock, overall enjoyable stay. Size of room puts London hotels to shame. Would go back.
Stood here for 1 night after a local wedding. All of the staff here are great, They have a good restaurant and an attached comedy club. The rooms were well appointed and the mattress is by far, the best mattress I've ever slept on!!! Very clean with plenty of free parking. They also have a nice outdoor pool (seasonal) and a decent gym. Much better than I expected from a Holiday Inn. Also close enough to NYC, Met Life stadium and the new American Dream shopping mall. I want to go back just to sleep on those mattresses!!! You will NOT be disappointed if you stay here.
This was our first stay as we were part of a 2 day bus trip to NYC. I am not sure why there are not more reviews. The place was bustling and the staff managed to keep up well it seemed. It is an older property, well maintained but could use some updating. There was no free breakfast but ours was included as a tour group, food and service excellent. There was a security system to get back to the rooms which was very good. The pool area looked nice but we didnt have time to use (outdoor, only) There was also a comedy club (nice feature) but didnt have time to do. The rooms do seem to have been somewhat recently renovated. They were clean and the beds comfortable so no complaints there! They had a nice business center off to the side in its own room that was quiet so that was great!I would recommend this hotel, they may have a breakfast included package if you check..All staff friendly and professional. The hotel was quiet at night and had a good location and price for being near NYC.…
