Staying at the Gingerbread House was a great experience. This B&B was very clean and convenient. It was close to most of Cape May's attractions. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The Gingerbread house exceeded our expectations in cleanliness and hospitality. The owners, Joan and Fred, were very welcoming and friendly. Every morning, we were looking forward to a... More

We really enjoyed the time we spent at the gingerbread house. The welcome was warm and the staff friendly and helpful. It was nice to feel pampered with the good breakfast, home-made and the little extras - like freshly baked cookies. While it was quite warm on the third floor, the air conditioner worked fine. We were also grateful for... More

Great Location - off site parking relatively close by. Room was nice, little fridge was useful for storing my fudge. The inn Keepers were very friendly and breakfast was great. Chocolate Chip cookies in the afternoon after the beach were amazing.

This is a beautiful Victorian house, light and airy inside, with perfectly appointed rooms. Fred and Joan are the consummate inn-keepers...they are warm and friendly, and they are very knowledgeable about Cape May and all it has to offer. We will be sure to stay at The Gingerbread House again and again!!

This was our fourth year back at Gingerbread House, and it totally feels like family. Joan and Fred are wonderful hosts, and make you feel at home from the first moment you step in to when you leave. The House is immaculate, and the breakfasts delicious. There are many B&Bs in Cape May, but I wouldn't think of staying anywhere... More

The Gingerbread House in Cape May owned by Joan and Fred Echevarria was one of the nicest bed and breakfast's we've every stayed at. There were three of us and most bed and breakfasts only accomodate couples. We had a really big room on the 2nd floor with a private bath and huge balcony overlooking the street. The whole house... The Gingerbread House has many attributes. It is a beautiful, clean, well-kept Victorian that is in a great location in easy walking distance to the beach, stores, and restaurants. Breakfast is served in the dining room with cereal, fruit, homemade muffins or pastry, and a freshly made dish (quiche, French toast). The house itself (much bearing the handcrafted touch of... From the moment we walked into the Gingerbread house, Joan made us feel like we were staying with friends. We felt immediately welcome into her home and we were shown to our excellent and spacious room. She provided many extras that made our stay even better including: beach chairs, brownies and cookies which were out all day as well as... More
