The Hotel Macomber has a great location along the beach in Cape May. It is close to many restaurants and attractions, either by walking or biking. It looks quaint but you have to realize what you are paying for. I felt is was a pricey weekend. The hotel rooms are on the third, fourth and 5th floor of the hotel,...

A Cape May Classic hotel (when built, one of the largest framed structures in the East). This hotel has kept up with the times with each room being individually air conditioned, provisioned with crisp linens, a small refrigerator and newly refurbished bathrooms. It does not have an elevator so if you are on the top floor it is a 3...

We have stayed at the hotel Macomber every year since 1998. We find the location to be ideal, the staff to be friendly, and rooms to be somewhat simple but welcoming. There is no elevator, so if you can handle many steps, it is a great place to stay.

My boyfriend and I have stayed here twice, and we have really enjoyed both visits. This is certainly not a fancy hotel, but it has a very neat charm, and it is great for people on a budget. The staff has always been friendly to us, and our rooms were always clean and neat. If we had any problems, they...

I don't recommend staying here at all, my reasons are: Cons 1. Hotel is extremely drab 2. Furniture is old and needs to be updated 3. Iron did not work properly and bed was uncomfortable 4. Staff were rude and I unaccommodating 5. All the 'awards' they received were from circa 1997 5. It is a far walk from the...

Staff are extremely unhelpful, the hotel is old and needs updating. I woke up itchy, the front desk lady and manager did not offer any commiserations or compensation. I am almost positive it is bed bugs. Pay a little extra and stay somewhere nice.

This hotel is reasonably priced (especially in the off season),clean, in a great location, and has onsite parking. Love sitting on the rocking chairs on the big porch. The only complaint I have is you only get about 10 basic channels on the TV. Now I know you don't go to the beach to watch TV, but when you are...

We were hoping for a ghost experience. The hotel is supposedly haunted by an old lady with a trunk. The first night the light wouldn't turn on. So scary, until they replaced the light bulb. Which they did promptly. Also, that night, the shower flooded and soaked the bathroom floor. But since the bathroom is microscopic it was more annoying...

This quaint hotel has location, location, location. Its across the street from the beach and in walking distance from restaurants, bars and shopping. The Union Park restaurant in the hotel is just OK. The Bagel Time café at the hotel is great. Bed was comfortable and the room furniture was nice. Smaller shower in one person bath was ok for...

This hotel is a little gem! Even though it was fully booked we always felt as though it was our private little place. Our room was clean, the bed was fantastic and the in-room fridge came in very handy! The desk staff were all friendly, not intrusive, knowledgable and courteous. The hotel's location can't be beat; across the street from...
