Quiet spot with clean room and typical choice hotel amenities. Still no breakfast due to COVID limitations but there is coffee in room and in the entrance available. The room smelled much like men’s cologne, but it was everything fine for a quick stop off the highway. They even sold cold beer at the front desk!
Stayed here for only 1 night after going to a friends house for a party in the area. I chose this hotel due to the fact that on the hotel's website it said that there was a Cracker Barrel 0 miles away! In fact, Cracker Barrel is about 5-6 miles away. If I would of known this, I never would of stayed here, since I thought it was right next door, or across the way, which it wasn't! In addition, the rate that I booked was a pre-payed rate, which was charged to my credit card immediately when I booked the room, but when I arrived at the hotel, they wanted to run my credit card again. I explained that it was already paid for, but they didn't dee that, and still wanted to run my card again. I refused to let them do this. The hotel had 2 issues that I turned me off. The first was that the sink in the bathroom drained extremely slow and the second issue was the vent in the bathroom was very dirty and covered with mold! With all that happened, I won't be staying here again.…
We had stayed at this property for about 6 days from Friday to the following Thursday. During that time we were surprised at how this place was managed and maintained. First, in terms of maintenance, the locks on all of the doors were older than the hotel with the lights barely working and one of our room's locks working about 80% of the time. Next was everything inside the rooms. The bed has bedsheets that were too short and did does not go all the way around the mattress. This was followed by the bed skirt which was one size too big for the mattress causing it to look disheveled and disorganized on all of the beds. Our room at 302 had a long crack along with the ceiling that looked like it came from water damage that was never repaired. Then came the combo situation. For some reason management had ordered a combo that was too small for all of the appliances of the rooms. The combo was too small to fir the refrigerator so the refrigerator was put to the side of the combo moving it to the side in front of one of the beds. This made them move the microwave on top of the fridge instead of instead the combo because there was no room to use the microwave with it being in front of the bed. Then when we wanted to use the microwave, it was unplugged and when we wanted to call about it, the phone was also unplugged. In the bathroom, since we got there to when we left, they had not filled or replaced the tissue box. It was empty when we entered an empty when we left. Next came the more serious issue of this hotel, the management. We had stayed the first night and had DND on our door not looking for service at that time. The next day we had continued to have DND on our room and went down later to ask for more towels with the front desk telling me directly that "the hotel has no extra towels. We take the towels from the rooms when we go to clean the room and return those towels. Since your room was not serviced, we cannot give you towels." That is unbelievable to think that an entire hotel does not have a single extra towel for any emergencies. That was fine and we suggested that we give our towels to them to clean. She said we can come back in 3 hours to pick up our towels. Then the 3rd day came when we wanted service. The housekeeper came and informed us she could not put on the top comforter due to there being clothes on the couch. This was fine, however, she had made the bed instead of changing the sheets. We were in the adjoining room and saw this happen. When we informed them the next day that we want our sheets changed, they informed us that "the sheets were changed yesterday, and it is a choice policy that they cannot change our sheets. They can only change our sheets every 3 days" and quoted a sheet in our room. The housekeeper and front desk had failed to look at the next line that stated that sheets can be changed as frequently as the guest would like them to be changed. Management refused to change our sheets. Then the following day came and the housekeeper came and when we asked her to change our sheets, they had refused again to change our sheets stating this "three-day rule" which is not true. She left without giving us service over not wanting to change our sheets. Throughout this process, we had continually asked for the manager which was on break until Thursday. Now on Wednesday, the same housekeeper came to clean the room. She told us directly as soon as she entered that she would not change our sheets. Then when we asked if she can clean the bathroom as they have refused to give us service since Monday, she told us directly "you are not the one that gives me my orders." She picked up our towels, and when asked about both the bathroom and the sheets, she refused, looked at us and told us, "Your hands ain't broke. You can change your own sheets," then proceeded to leave the room. In the hallway, she yelled saying "I'll bring the sheets and make the woman standing there to change the sheets." The woman she referred to was my mother. This is unacceptable. For an employee to single out the only Hispanic woman in the room and insult her by saying that out of all the men in the room, the Hispanic woman has to change the sheets. That is when the front desk came upstairs to clear up the issue. They came and explained the same 3-day rule about changing the sheets and exclaimed that the sheets were changed even though they were not. We explained what the housekeeper had said to us especially to our mother and nothing was said. Then the supervisor came upstairs to talk to us. She exclaimed that the room's sheets were changed. She told us that we will not be serviced and started to tell us that she does not care about our situation and suggested that we check as the solution for us instead of them just changing the sheets in our room. She threatened to call the police if we called the front desk about this issue and left screaming at us about it. We returned to take the towels that they had taken back up to our room again. So far, they have not once taken our towels and delivered it to us. Each time we have to go to the front desk to pick them up. This has honestly been the worst experience I have ever had at a choice hotel. From the poor room quality and strange design to the management yelling at me that instead of changing our sheets, I would not recommend this property to anyone. This is completely unacceptable from a service business and with the issue being avoidable by changing our sheets.…
Dirtiest hotel we stayed at in many years. Plus side: The bed was actually clean. Weird shape, sagged in the middle, and higher on the right side than the left. But we actually did not find it uncomfortable - has some toppers under the sheet. Rest of the room- terrible. My wife used disinfectant to wipe down all hard surfaces and the remote - I will try to post the pics of the blackened wipes. Truly filthy. No chair in room for the work desk. The sofa was very dirty, both stains and lint/dirt all over it. Looked like it was reclaimed from the goodwill dumpster. Breakfast was horrid - hot items available, consisted of some kind of scrambled eggs. First time I ever ate tough eggs. Sausage patties were the protein choice. Both items from the hot side were likely cooked a few days prior. My advice - never, ever stay here. It was nearly empty, now i know why.…
For the price I was not expecting such a nice hotel. I can say it was clean, quiet, and safe. They provide a nice continental breakfast with yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal, waffles, eggs, sausage and much more. Great deal for the price. I recommend this hotel if you are looking for budget friendly and clean.
