Recently stayed here for a wedding and it was a fantastic time. The inn has the authentic New Hampshire charm, is incredibly clean and up to date. The food at the tavern is so awesome and super convenient; we ate breakfast here both days.
We stopped there for lunch with a bus tour. The Inn itself was pretty cool but the food was really just okay. We had wraps, chips and cheesecake and brownie pieces. Nothing was above average. We had to run a waiter down for tea.

That is a Monday, and I don't believe reservations are needed during the weekdays at this time of the year. The dining area around the bar has much more atmosphere with the fireplace and older tables and booths, than the larger main dining area. In addition to the regular menu they now have food theme nights. Enjoy!
