Very nice hotel. Yes, they have air conditioning (critical this week in late July 2016). Breakfast is a bit on the skimpy side . . . sort of "breakfast tapas" (small plates of various breakfast foods). I guess you could keep going back until full, but you begin to feel a bit odd doing so. The items were delicious, just...

We stayed at the Hotel Portsmouth for 2 nights, we could not have asked for a better place. The location is perfect, a short walk to Prescott Park and the waterfront. The hotel itself is beautiful, and well maintained. It also included free parking and a wonderful continental breakfast. Staff was wonderful, especially Josh. I don't think I'd stay anywhere...

We travel a good amount and were absolutely delighted to find this hotel had availability when we went through Portsmouth, NH. The rooms are very unique. The staff was absolutely wonderful, and the breakfast was the best "continental" breakfast I've had in years. The entire experience made me wish these hotels were all over the US because it would definitely...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at The Hotel Portsmouth during the 4th of July holiday. This town and lovely hotel truly made us feel welcome. The rooms were updated with a boutique modern touch. Our room was tucked away in a cove which helped with other guest noise. We enjoyed our stay and would most definitely stay here again...

I stayed at this hotel for several weeks while on business in New Hampshire. It was such a nice break to stay in a boutique style hotel (instead of the cookie cutter big chain hotels). I loved the mid-century style furnishings in all the rooms! I stayed in both the front (original house) and back (added on mid-1900's) rooms. I...

We only spent 1 night here, but it was lovely. The hotel was charming, the people were very friendly and attentive and the hotel was within walking distance of everything in Portsmouth. Off-street parking was nice, and the blueberry smoothies for breakfast were delicious. I would come back again!

My boyfriend and I booked a room for two nights during the long July 4th weekend. Upon arrival to the lovely Hotel Portsmouth we were greeted by Patrick and Lindsay, who showed us around the hotel (ie. Where we could fill our water bottles, get coffee and breakfast, etc) and also were valuable resources during our stay, recommending several good...

My wife and 2 small kids and I had a last minute getaway to Portsmouth midweek in early July, and we can't say enough about our fantastic stay at The Hotel Portsmouth! This is not our first Lark Hotels experience - and they always do it beautifully. We love that each Lark hotel is designed with its location in mind...

This is the type of place that I don't like to give rave reviews for....because I don't want it to become too popular and I can be a selfish traveler in that way ;). The Hotel Portsmouth is great! Yes...it is true....Josh & Patrick were wonderful. We travel to Portsmouth about 2-3 times per year and, although I have stayed...

From its online greeting to wood paneling to honest conversation at the front desk to actual metal keys to a delicious breakfast after an unbelievably comfortable bed , this hotel makes you feel right at home and respected in every way. Goes way beyond clean and stylish. And right in the heart of Portsmouth, where great food and fun shops...
