We stayed at this hotel for the first time this past weekend, we arrived early but they had our room ready. The staff was so friendly and helpful, even recommending restaurants upon arrival. Our room was immaculate, having anything you could ever need, we loved the IPAD and wine glasses with cork skew. Easy walk everywhere and lots to see...

This is a really cute hotel. My room is quite large. There's a full shower. Nice sitting areas in the lobby. The food is wonderful-- little gourmet bites for breakfast and coffee/tea/water around the clock. My only complaint is that it's really loud in room 208. The sound from the first floor travels up because of the cathedral ceiling. My...

Decided to get away from the kids for a night and decided to look at Portsmouth hotels. I have found that not staying in the national brand hotels has been quite nice. The Hotel Portsmouth is a beautiful, 135 year old mansion that is incredibly nice on the inside and only a couple of blocks to Market Square. The staff...

There for our anniversary weekend. The building has old-school character, and very helpful and sincere service from the staff. Comfortable room with really good sheets (That's a weird thing to praise, I know. But trust me.) Easy walking distance to everything in this very walkable town. Their breakfast isn't designed to fill you up like a lumberjack, but it's tasty...

I am eating my breakfast in their charming dining room as I write this. (We check out today- bummer). This place is great! Perfect blend of hotel and B &B- best of both worlds- modern conveniences and amenities set within a gorgeous historic mansion. They found a way to get rid of the dusty creaky feel of a historic building...

Great stay and would go back again. Clean, good-sized rooms. Very nice little features, details and amenities for a cozy stay. The breakfast room is the highlight and worth the stay alone. Quick walk to town too.
