Went there for the first time. Got a suite with whirlpool tub. If that's a suite the room was small the bathroom was the same size. It's not what the pictures show. Not enough hot water to fill the tub. Had to use a space heater for heat. It was not worth double the price for a whirlpool tub. Just... More

A very pleasant stay in nice surroundings. The room was clean, attractive with coffee machine and fridge. The restaurant /bar is great, doing lovely reasonably priced salads and bar meals. The beer was great, if a bit stronger than us Brits are used to! If you are looking for a 4* hotel this time it, but is a friendly clean... More

Labor Day weekend - everyone sold out. 9:45pm on Sunday night drove by to see vacancy light on. Yes, they had a wonderful Hemingway Suite available. Not sure what the rooms are like, but this suite is great with a king bed, fireplace, tub for 2, hardwood floors, mini refrig, coffee maker and oh did I say tub for 2?... More

Traumatic experience! We arrived at this hotel late at night after finding all the other hotels in the area full. When we saw the rate of 145 $ (+ tax) we thought it was quite high but we were tired and we took it without asking to see the room before paying it. Unimaginable what we found. Dirty room, smell... Don't mind the negative reviews. That was only due to unrealistic expectation. We got the cheapest king room which was clean spacious. Very good internet speed. Big TV with full HBO. Hot tub and pool across from our room. I'm sure the upgraded rooms are well worth the money.

Their themed suites are awesome. I had an amazing stay. The jacuzzi was the best part I probably stayed in there half the night with my champagne glass. The ambiance was amazing. I really like this place definitely going back. 💋✌

Had a delightful three night stay at the Wrens Nest Inn. We had a standard king bed room which included a coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The inn is located off the main road into Portsmouth, but is surrounded by trees making it seem more like a country inn. We loved the onsite... More

We were looking forward to our hotel room after some driving and were disappointed. Our room did not look anything like the picture on the website. It was cold, dismal, and outdated. The front desk clerk was very unfriendly. We did have trouble with our tv which was quickly repaired by a nice guy. However, breakfast was not served until... More

Our son graduated from UNH in Durham this May so we booked a room at the Wrens Nest for two nights. We booked a basic room, in the motel unit. The room was acceptable from cleanliness, size, and convenience perspective. There is plenty of parking. The grounds are well back off the street quite large, and have some picnic tables and... More

Maybe this was a nice place a few years back, but it needs some updating. It was clean, the fireplace worked, as well as the jacuzzi tub. But for the cost, pay a little more and stay at another place. No regrets, but can't recommend for a future stay. The people in the office were very nice. We did not... More
