Dear Mr. F. I am the owner and manager of the Motel, I am very disturbed by your review, if the room was as bad as you are saying is was you should have run to the front desk (which I am at 14 hours a day) to let me know #1) that the ac does not work,# 2) where...

Motels are not usually my thing because let's face it its a crap shoot as to what you're getting as a room and usually it's crap.but not this time room was dated but very clean and comfortable and the best part affordable North Conway can get expensive on weekends. Stayed at the Clarendon last week. Just wanted a clean affordable placed to stay. Room was a little dated - rustic but spotless. The bathroom again was spotless. Very comfortable. Had a TV, microwave, refrigerator. Owners on sight - very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

I decided at the last minute to stay here for a night and ended up staying a second night. The rates are very reasonable for the area (although they do go up a bit on the weekend). The hotel is older but very well maintained. I love the rustic feel and the rooms are spotless. As a solo traveler, I...

She changed the price by $50 after we booked thru book.com. Didn't ask why just took it. Dated furniture with paneled flowered wallpaper. Very clean. Nice bedspreads. Had microwave and refrigerator at no extra charge. No coffee pot in room. Just in lobby with store bought cookies. Opens lobby too late for us 7:30. I want coffee before that.

The Clarendon is a small motel located at the northern end of North Conway. The room had a microwave and a small refrigerator and a tv. The air conditioner worked nicely and got the job done on the early fall warmer days. The room was clean and well maintained and the bed was comfortable. There is no pool or breakfast but...

No, there is no pool, no hot tub, no free breakfast, but you pay for that stuff. The Clarendon is affordable....we paid $70 a night......it's an older motel, but it's CLEAN and the beds, although they were a little short (height-wise) they were really comfortable. Free coffee and cookies in the office and the owner is a doll. We will...

This is a very clean motel. It is, however, quite outdated and rustic. The rooms are very small with thin walls so you can clearly hear the television in the adjacent room. The motel is quite close to the main road so there is traffic noise. Front desk clerk was friendly and courteous. The price reflects the lack of amenities...

We liked it there for the two nights we were touring the mountain region. A nice place to sleep. Clean, quiet, pretty. The gal in the office was really extra friendly and willing to help us with our questions about the area. We will stay here again!!

North Conway seems to be the center of the tourist trade in the region and the lodging prices reflect the fact. However, the Clarendon price point was on the lower end of the spectrum and you get a good place to sleep for your money. As others have said the lady in the office is a terrific hostess for the...
