We have loved this place for years, and stayed and eaten here on a number of occasions since the 90s. We booked it as part of a New England tour with friends and it was to be a highlight. On sight, we could immediately see that it was run down and needed a coat of paint. The landlord was nowhere...

Great stay. We stayed in a shared bathroom setup - everything was super clean. Breakfast was great and included. Blueberry pancakes are excellent. Owner/staff extremely pleasant and helpful. Would highly recommend. Will be looking forward to going back to this place. They also have great views from their dining area.

My wife and I spent the weekend exploring the area and stayed at The 1785 Inn for three nights. I can only assume that 1785 was the year it was built since I never asked the question. But it it an old farm house. Creaky floors, narrow, maze like hallways, we had a very nice stay. We stayed in the...

We stayed three nights at the inn. The staff was helpful, it was clean, and a nice breakfast was served. The views from the inn are outstanding. It was inexpensive to stay there and in a convenient location to everything we were looking for. We got the shared bath but I would recommend getting a private one if available. Much...

A step back in time, in a good way! This inn has a bar\parlor that seems untouched since the 18th century-the furnishings, accents and general feeling were very authentic. The innkeeper is available to tend bar in the evenings. The rooms are clean and decorated in period accents and furnishings. Our mattress was a bit lumpy but was fine for...

We stayed 2 nights at the 1785. The room was rather small - smaller than might be expected. Parts of the inn were not air conditioned - you might pass through 2-3 different temperature zones as you traveled to your room. The breakfasts at the B&B were very good - probably the highlight of the stay.

You will never get better service and a more delicious breakfast at any inn. The Inn keepers go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. You can spend a leisurely night reading or playing a board game in front of the fire, with your favorite beverage. In season, you can have a delicious dinner at the inn,...

My wife and I stayed at the 1785 Inn for one night prior to a Saturday snowshoe race at Whitaker Woods. The Inn keeper (I can't remember his name, unfortunately), was incredibly welcoming as we arrived later in the evening in the midst of some poor weather. He kept a fire in the living room going late and poured me...

The place is well positioned with superb views from the rear of the property. The standard of accommodation however is very poor and we were in an old room with a very small window that we could not even open. Appreciate the property is old but when you charge $185 per night you expect more. Cannot fault the welcome particularly...

We returned this summer for a week long stay in the condo, it was relaxing as usual. We have a child and staying in the condo is perfect for us especially for a week long visit because it has a full kitchen set-up. The owners and staff are super nice and friendly, they make you feel right at home. The...
