We spent 2 nights at the Meredith Inn earlier this month. Our room was large and comfortable with lovely furnishings. It had a gas fireplace but as it was close to 90 degrees we did mot use. Would be great in cooler weather though. The bathroom was huge with a whirlpool tub. Each room had a hairdryer which is rare... More

My husband booked a two night stay at the Meredith Inn as a surprise anniversary trip, and he couldn't have picked a better place. The inn is absolutely spotless, and the Victorian decor felt homey and comfortable. Janet was a fantastic hostess, and we loved the stories about her grandfather, who built some of the furniture. The breakfasts were out... More

Had a fantastic room overlooking the lake. Well furnished with comfortable sofa and all mod cons. The restaurant only serves evening meals, which were very good, but for breakfast we had to go to a sister hotel a couple of hundred yards away, which wasn't ideal. The alternative was a diner close by, which we did use but not to... More

Janet, the innkeeper, is a wonderful hostess. She welcomed us and gave us some background about the house. We had room 7 which has a gas fireplace and a jacuzzi. A really nice room with a very comfortable bed. Both breakfasts were excellent. One was French toast the best I've ever had. There is coffee and tea available 24 hours... More

We decided to miss the Sunday traffic back to Mass. and extend our visit to a friend's "camp" on Lake Winnipesaukee by spending Sunday night at the Meredith Inn. This B&B style inn is immaculately clean and well furnished and the innkeeper (Janet) is extremely friendly and accommodating. Her challah bread french toast was delicious and was complemented nicely by... More

Traveled to Meredith for a family wedding. The Meredith Inn is a beautiful Painted Lady that truly is a gem. Janet maintains its historic charm while providing all the modern comforts we are use to. We stayed in room 2. This spacious room is located on the first floor and its king sized bed was very comfortable. This inn is... More

The Meredith Inn is like a big old comfortable chair you can sink into and relax. From the moment we started the booking process Janet Carpenter, the owner, could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The rooms are very spacious, clean and with plenty of storage. The housekeeping for quests is impeccable. While the house retains old style Victorian... More

The Meredith Inn, run by Janet Carpenter, is located a short walk from Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire.
