We stayed at the Franconia Notch Guest House for 2 nights this weekend and it was everything we were hoping for and more! Beth and Doc were fantastic hosts -they greeted us outside upon arrival, gave us numerous dinner recommendations, brought out maps to discuss hiking trail options for both days, and made delicious breakfasts. We stayed in the Cannon Room, which had a private entrance around back and a private deck with a table & chairs. We had a gorgeous view to wake up to in the morning and found the room very clean and comfortable. The bonuses for us were that Beth and Doc had 3 very friendly cats that loved to be pet (they mostly remained in the yard or their apartment), we got to see ~12 humming birds buzzing around the feeders, and we even watched a black bear jump up in their apple trees early in the morning before we went hiking. The location of this B&B was ideal for heading to Franconia Notch State Parking and the Littleton downtown area. We rated our experience at the Guest House as 5 stars because it was relaxing, scenic, and exactly what we were looking for!…
We stayed at the Guest House during the week. There was one other couple there and we had such a great time! Doc & Beth are wonderful people and just the best hosts. Breakfast was amazing. Beth goes out of her way to make sure my husband has food that he can eat. He has Celiacs. I had to tell Beth to “stop fussing” over us but her whole purpose is ensure your comfort and happiness while at the Guest House. We did some motorcycle riding through the mountains. When Wr returned, Beth and Doc made certain we were comfortable. This is the third time we’ve stayed at the guest house and as long as Beth and Doc are the hosts, we’ll be back again...soon.
Great place. Super friendly and awesome hosts. We wanted for nothing. Comfortable, quiet, and welcoming. Beth and Doc are superior hosts and take care of all the details, as well as being very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast every morning was fresh and homemade; there was a variety of things to choose from each more delicious than the next. Definitely a five star experience.
“Guest House” is a perfect category for our 48 hour weekend of adventure, reconnection and tranquility. We enjoyed all the comforts of this clean, sun-filled, warm and homey atmosphere house regionally constructed with exposed beams. A grand 2 story lodge room with stone fireplace and deep, comfortable seating is also open to a common dining room. Panoramic views of the White Mountain Range make this visit memorable and rewarding. The House is minutes to the area attractions, historic tours, rich history and countless activities near the Notch, Echo Lake, Cannon Mountain and Artist Bluff. The outdoor deck is the signature setting for Mt Lafayette vista views but don’t be afraid to pull a chair down to the expansive meadow and relax with a glass of wine or beer. But for me it was the genuine White Mountain hospitality that meant the most during our stay. The hosts are simply the best. Start your next day off with breakfast specialties including fresh baked goods and berries. The hosts are experts on the area and will offer tips on restaurants, hikes, road trip excursions and shopping to tailor your itineraries. This house is just over a mile up from Franconia and a number of restaurants and a grocery store. …
Our first time in New Hampshire, and it was everything we expected from a New England B&B and more! Our hosts, Beth and Doc, were great - very friendly, attentive, and informative. Charming inn and breakfasts were so good that you won't bother going to Polly's (LOL). Highly recommend!!!
