We decided at the last minute to have an overnight away over Columbus Day weekend. We were lucky to find a room at Three Chimneys, just an hour and a half drive from our home in Boston. The building is historic and filled with details that distinguish it from an average hotel. The service was excellent, from the front desk to...

From the history that seeps through the creaky floor boards to the enchanting grounds and the divine dinner, this is a place that is a hidden gem. I reserved this hotel by need more then desire but if I knew what I found out when I arrived, I would've booked it in a heartbeat out of desire. The front desk...

My wife and I happened to be in the area mid week, and called to see if there was a room. We were pleased to have the Teddy Roosevelt room for the night. Large, well appointed and comfortable. Breakfast was included and was terrific. Friendly staff.

Durham is well known as the home of the University of New Hampshire but there is also a quaint little inn there that is a right on the edge of town - Three Chimneys Inn! My wife and I stayed there last Saturday as a surprise wedding anniversary get away. We actually drove right by it the first time because...

My wife and I stayed for two nights recently. Three Chimneys was a fantastic experience in almost every way. Very charming room, we had room #3, which was fairly large, clean room and bathroom. The breakfasts were outstanding, can't say enough about the french toast. Service was great, the girl up front brought up dessert for us one night. The...

Stairs are fairly easy to haul luggage up and the inn keeper offered to help us. Room was clean and roomy. Bed was comfortable, not too hard or too soft. It did have very high sides making it difficult for shorter people to claim in but it did have a bed stair next to it. The food at inn was...

Decided to stay here for our anniversary. It wasn't too far to travel from the seacoast and we have eaten at the Inn before so we decided to try out an overnight trip here. It is a beautiful old Inn built in the 1600's with a lot of rich history surrounding it. The rooms are smaller but nice. Be sure...

This is a beautiful place but is overpriced by about $50/night. This was NOT a $200/night room (even though is was built in the 1600s). The restaurant however was fantastic. I ate the best clam chowder I had ever eaten (and I eat a lot if it). The Delmonico steak was cooked perfectly and was bursting with flavor. All-in-all..... Ill...

I had the pleasure of staying here while taking my daugher to see UNH. This historic inn had many great touches, from its onsite tavern, to the oversized bathtubs and four postered beds. Breakfast in the morning was a little unimaginative, but not bad. Only other drawback was a too-small TV -- which, given that most of the Inn's guests...
