Much different than I had expected. I visited this establishement with my girlfriend for Valentines day and we were joyful from the moment we saw it. As is seen in our provided photo (which hopefully will post), each room is separated by a step-patio and decorated very nicely. The snow had been well cleared for parking and the management was...

We have always loved Virginia City but we had only been there in the summer and never spent the night. We found the Comstock Lodge on trip advisor and it sounded like just what we were looking for. We checked in on a nice winter day; sunny but chilly. The morning we were to leave, we woke up to at...

Hi. This is the most recent visit. I have stayed here at the Comstock lodge each time I make my annual road trip (and sometimes 2ce a year) to Virginia City. I have stayed in several different rooms at this lodge, depending on whether I am just by myself or with friends or family. I feel like home here and...

As others have already mentioned, this motel is rough on the outside, but the rooms are cute and very basic. This I expected. The problem I had with this motel was the fact that the owners apparently took a vacation during our stay. When we arrived, the office was closed. It took us a few moments to notice our key...

My husband and I stayed at the Comstock Lodge during Hot August Nights when a standard economy room in Reno can run close to $200 or more (with a 2 night min. required) if you can find one available. We have always liked Virginia City but never thought to stay there because we like the convenience of being able to...

Our Family has spent many times at the Comstock Lodge. The owners Bob and Randi will go out of their way to make you feel like home. Virginia City, Nevada is a very special place to visit but your stay at the "Comtock Lodge" will be an extra treat for you and your family.

When we first pulled up to the lodge I was hesitant because of the appearance of the exterior, a little Bates Motel'ish, but the rooms are cozy and are decorated very nicely. I would recommend staying there!

After spending 3 days in the hussle-bussle of Reno it was a joy to discover the peace and quiet of Virginia City and a great kept secret, the Comstock Lodge. The rooms are each different, furnished with antiques, but have TV with Cable and coffee pots. Like another review said...do not let the outer looks affect your decision. The rooms...

Do not let the outer appearance of the Comstock Lodge affect your decision. The rooms are charming, warm and cozy. Each room is designed a little differently, and the beds are very comfortable. Stay there if at all possible.

“Parking is a challenge so if you have a large vehicle, it might block other vehicles from pulling through to leave. Taking a shower might be challenging, as the shower valve in the faucet didn't work so well. Also, shower early in the morning or later in the afternoon for the best hot water. I showered at around 9am and the water was tepid at best. The views are "eh". Overall this is the best place I've stayed at compared to anywhere else in town for the price.”
