We have passed through Tonapah many times but have previously only stopped for gas. Our journey back to Reno was longer than usual this trip so we decided to stay at the Mizpah, other hotels not looking too appealing to us in this old mining town. (No offense meant Tonapah) What an incredible job the Cline's have done in restoring...

This was seriously the most interesting hotel - I love how it feels like the old west - it was a nice break from the usual cookie cutter hotels we had been staying at on our road trip. It embraces the history of the area and is very clean and feels good. It almost feels haunted and the kids loved...

Thank you for your review...The hotel has been a wonderful project for us and I am thrilled to read that you enjoyed your stay. I have just returned from the hotel, as we continue to determine how to move forward in our restaurant. The location of Tonopah makes the food costs very high. We still make our own soups, salads,...

We loved this hotel. It's about as historic as you can get. The room was lovely and the bed really comfy. We slept very well. The building is amazing. The bar and food was lovely and we had no complaints whatsoever. It's brilliant. If you like historic hotels, you'll love this. Reasonably priced too. Tonapah is generally a great place...

My wife and I spent the night at this hotel. The décor is amazing and the rooms are quaint and small but nice. A bit hot in our 4th floor room. We dined that evening in the so called very famous Pittman Café. The service was the worst we have ever experienced in our lives. The food even worse than...

Current owner is the grand daughter of the original builder/owner of the Mizpah. Located in an old Nevada mining town. (The old mine sits behind the hotel.) Rooms are large with high ceilings and beautifully renovated. Bed was comfortable. Small problem on the upper (4th) floor maintaining shower water pressure. There is also a ghost walking the the top floor...

My husband booked this hotel because the price was right and we needed to stay somewhere because we were driving for many hours. Ana how surprised we were when we went to this hotel! It's like getting into gold rush times! The setting is perfect: small town, no or little traffic, old building, dressed up workers, the interior is like...

This is a great, restored hotel that is a real gem. The lounge is worth sitting in for hours. The restaurant was friendly and the food was good. It transports you to the old west with class. If it were on a travel route that I took more often, I would stay here as often as possible.

Really lovely hotel, beautifully decorated in traditional style. Incredibly helpful, friendly staff and a good restaurant on-site. Free parking adjacent to hotel. Also has a resident ghost apparently, make sure you read the guest ghostly comments books at reception. Spooky! The rooms don't have a fridge or tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms but you can request a fridge and...

I have wanted to stay in this historic hotel for a long time , It was closed for a few years but reopened in2011 . The hotel was restored to what it must have been in 1907 . This is not to be missed if you enjoy history , as seen through old hotels ! A great bar and sitting...

Stayed at Mizpah enroute from Tahoe to Vegas. It was truly an experience stepping into the opulent lobby and feeling transported back in time to the days of the Wild West (is that a bullet hole in the lift door?). That we checked in in the dead of the night with the Mizpah incandescent sign blazing up above us, made...
