We booked 2 boats for one day rental and even though one of the boat did not work when we got there…they were helpful enough to work something out with us. We even got a refund for the boat. Britney (the front desk lady) was helpful. Would definitely visit again.

We had the cove almost entirely to ourselves on this 70 degree day. We took our own picnic items with us which was good as the cafe is in renovations and was closed. Everyone was friendly. Spoke to the gentleman about renting a boat further in to the spring and spent time in the gift store where my wife purchased a shirt. Friendly all around. We fed the birds and fish. Clean. Water nice and clean. Small hike to overlook the marina just great. Really, just a simple satisfying experience even tho we didn't stay at the hotel or rent a boat this visit.

This is a National Park Service site on the Nevada side of Lake Mohave. Easy to reach from both the Vegas area and Laughlin. Just turn at Searchlight. The main road is paved. Great fun spot for a family or group outing. Forever Resorts manages the camping, motel, boat rental and supply facilities around the marina. But we came here for a half day outing. We expected limited opportunities based on what other day trippers had told us. But because the lake is so low and lots more shoreline is exposed, we were able to hike the beaches north for about 90 minutes. A few times we had to scramble up off the shore to get around a wet hole or other obstruction, but mostly we were able to just meander the shore. On a nice day, this can be a truly amazing experience. The trails you will find and can readily see are not maintained and have been this way for years. You'll find them at various levels along the ridges and knolls. And they're easy to follow. Don't worry, you won't get lost. We also went south for a bit, taking a path up the rise on the south side of the motel and then cutting back down to the beach at the south side of the marina. We just ran out of time, but the coves in this direction would also be great for hiking exploration. The ridgeline trails are mainly gravel, so bring hiking poles if you have them. Carry a picnic to enjoy in one of the coves. On another note. I found the NPS personnel here rather grumpy. So maybe avoid them and try to find a resort worker to direct your questions to. If you have ample car clearance there're some good back roads to drive. And, of course, you can stay overnight, bring your own watercraft, or rent here. Summer time is excruciatingly hot here, so come in winter or spring when it's in the 60-80 degree range…

We decided to drive another road we had never been on and this one took us to Cottonwood Cove. This has a marina, restaurant, and motel. Ducks roam the grounds, I suspect wanting to be fed even though they look quite healthy. This looks to be a nice place to spend the night, but we were only on a driving trip and needed to return to Vegas.

Come here to enjoy boating not birley bar marina. People in general are nicer here than temple bar marina. Also Nevada requires a person to have a boating license to rent a boat. Also it is safer in Nevada to operate the boats.

We had a good time. Campground area was empty so it was nice. The marina and facilities are clean. The kids loved to feed the ducks and fish. The boat launch area was easily to maneuver the boat in and out as it wasn't crowded at this time next time We plan to go when a little warmer for boat fun

Went here with friends midweek and it was busy with locals. Very friendly staff who told us the history of the place. It was the first ski area in the area. The food was beautiful great flavours and portion sizes. The price was high end.
