For those who like Columbus Day you might consider visiting Reno at that time for the Italian festival on the weekend. This hotel is about a 1/4 mile walk to the main drag, Virginia street. So the prices were lower compared to the other hotels...More
We where there for street vibrations and had a good time. We could smell the cig. smoke in the room but it was a no smoking room, came from the casino I guess. We where close to main street ( just walking distance).Mel's was great...More

Close to downtown. Older, but clean. Good restaurants options, Mel's Diner was our favorite. We were there for Street Vibrations, so we expected extra noise. Everyone was friendly. The security was visible, which is always a plus.

The $75.00 fee that I spoke of, is not included in your total rental fees, they collect it when you arrive to pay for your room. So have on hand an extra $75.00 to pay them per incidentals, plus your room's charges.
