I stayed two nights and had great service. The location is perfect with restaurants and shopping close by. My room had a great view of the mountains. The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet. I enjoyed the breakfast each morning. I’ll definitely be returning.
I stayed at this location from November 20-24 2018. Unfortunately, on Thanksgiving my room was not made up. I went to the front desk to let the clerk know about this and was told that there was nothing that they could do about it; however, she did offer me clean towels and soap. I was taken back a bit because she didn’t even ask me what room I was in or make an attempt to put a note in my file even though I am a Hilton Honors member. At the time, I was willing to overlooked this error due to it being a holiday. When I returned home I completed the survey that was sent to me by the Hotel. In the survey I mentioned the oversight. I just received a message back from the hotel Manager, Joaquin Duran (with incorrect spelling, punctuation and grammar), stating that the reason they didn’t clean my room was because I left the “do not disturb” sign on the door. I am over 100% certain that I did not leave the sign on the door because that was the very first thing I checked for once I discovered my room wasn’t cleaned. Iif Ms. Duran had just said, I am so sorry for the inconvenience we caused you, everything would have been just fine. At this time, I think I will just go back to staying at The Residence Inn when I am in town.
We stayed one night at this hotel that is centrally-located for all the attractions around Reno, Tahoe and Carson City. (It took less than 30 minutes to drive to Mt. Rose and Tahoe Meadows.) We made a reservation several months in advance and there were no issues at check-in. The type of room that we requested was ready and we were welcomed as Hilton Honors members and offered cold water and a treat. Our room was adapted for wheelchair users (ADA) and located above the lobby, so it overlooked the portico but did have a view of the mountains in the distance. The room was spacious and attractive with a king bed. It was equipped with everything to make our stay comfortable: TV, refrigerator, microwave, alarm clock, wifi, coffee maker, iron, etc. The bathroom had a tub with a handheld sprayer and shower chair (though a transfer bench would have been better). Breakfast was included and offered our usual favorites of oatmeal, fruit and yogurt as well as the traditional eggs, meats, pancakes, waffles, etc. This hotel has an indoor pool and hot tub (with lift to aid those with mobility impairments), small fitness room, and an office with computers for guest convenience. Coin-operated washer and dryer are available but unfortunately out-of-order when we visited. The neighborhood is office buildings and residential; there are no restaurants immediately surrounding the hotel but there are some about a mile away. There is a walking trail nearby to the east; access at Double R Blvd. and Double Diamond Pkwy.
We love this place and wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else. The manager and his staff are so professional and always go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Rooms are clean, comfortable and well maintained.
A cheap stay on the outer area of Reno. It was clean and fairly quiet. Room and hotel were quite outdated though. Customer service is pretty much non-existent here so you're on your own for any issues.
