Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed for 5 nights, the campsite is well maintained while being respectful of the surrounding wildlife and natural beauty. We had a pitch for our caravan with a sea view. The area around the campsite is beautiful, and the beach is stunning. We had it to ourselves when we were there. A quiet campsite, maybe because the weather wasn't great and it wasn't high season yet. We loved the peace, a great way to start our two week holidays. The facilities are clean and welcoming. If you want a piece of wild Ireland, without the the tourist buses, then this is the place to be. The nearest town is Ardagh, about 15/20mins by car, a lovely town with some nice shops and places to eat. A great area to cycle around, if you don't mind a few hills. Lots of stunning beaches to explore with crystal clear water (Rossbeg, Portnoo, Nairn). Our 9 yr old son enjoyed playing ball games in the beach and exploring the rocks, he enjoyed cycling around the campsite too.
Eimear who welcomed us, was always friendly and very helpful with tips and ideas.
We felt completely at home 😊

Lovely friendly people well maintained toilets and showers and fabulous setting on sand dunes just back from beach which gives some shelter from the wind.
Beautiful wild scenery and large sandy beach. Close enough to Ardara for supplies and fun as well as attractions like Sliabh Beagh

We stayed in the caravan park which is just a few minutes walk to the white sandy beach. Both the park and the beach are 100% immaculately clean and not one piece of rubbish was evident. The beautiful sandy beach was peaceful and quiet and full of adventures for the little ones! Will definitely be back.
Thank you to the person who wrote 'I love it' beside our Sand Castle after we left!!!! Very thoughtful.

Should not be listed as dog friendly. For some reason dogs aren't allowed if staying in a tent but they are if in a caravan. I asked what the difference was and she said a huge difference because dogs tend to pee..(not too sure how the dogs in the caravans don't pee outside too but hey ho).. she said dogs in the caravans are taken by lead to the beach to pee (about a 5 to 10 minute jant away) ... over sand dunes that might I add were riddled with poo and poo bags.. if the rules are that dogs in mobiles should be on a lead in the park, I don't see why the same rule can't be made for those in tents. Really didn't feel friendly at all either, would rather stay somewhere that's friendlier anyway but feel like this needs to be mentioned. Can't have one rule for one and not for others.

We were travelling around Donegal on the bank holiday weekend. We realised that most places were busy but we really wanted to stay at this site for camping. It was just myself and my wife and we only needed a small spot for a two man tent. The lady at the desk reluctantly I note gave my wife instructions to set up at the upper side of the park near a parked mobile home and vacant services spot. After a long day and realived to have a spot obtained I set up tent and boiled the kettle for a cup of coffee. Unexpectedly a caddy van pulled up and an elderly lady got out and unleashed a torrent of abuse at my wife and myself. My wife would be very quiet natured and was extremely upset. I said nothing because I knew that any response would only upset my wife. I have never been spoken to in that manner. She basically told us to move as far away from the other resident campers (as if we were dogs) I had to ask who she was. We were pitched where we were told and if we were politely ASKED to reset up somewhere else I would have gladly done so. Friendly Ireland! what a joke I'm not sure where she learned her manners. She was fortunate that she didn't speak to me on my own. I finished my coffee, simmered for a few minutes and packed up the tent and left. My wife was refunded our money my the lady at the desk who I assume was unaware of our upset.
All in all a very forgettable and unwanted experience. Avoid the owner.

This site is situated amongst sand dunes. It is well run. The warden was helpful.
The site is clean. There are static holiday homes. There is a playground in front of a huge sand dune.
There is a barrier that comes down at night over the entrance. We were given a key fob by the warden to come back late as we went by taxi to a local pub for some music and alcohol.
This is a small site. We were accommodated without booking. The gents. had one electric shower which was clean and functional. Cost €20 for our campervan, included the electric hook up, shower, and own water tap.
A nice quite camp site. Situated near the coast, ideal for walking.
Thanks to the warden, we had a lovely sun set over the harbour ( about 1.5 miles away).
Wifi is only available near the office. There is no telephone signal.

I remember going to Tramor as a child and having wonderful time.So it gives me great pleasure to bring my 2 niece there now. We went there on one of the warmest days this year. Which made it for us. Misty Restaurant is a must go to place 4 good food at a fair price. When d weather is good there is no better place in Ireland. Tramor has grown over the years with more attractions then ever before but in saying all of this it is expensive and abit mmiserable in the rain. Make sure when you do go there that you have d weather and give yourself plenty of time as there is so much to do with the amusement park, beach, golf and swimming pool.

Having arrived on what seemed like a very long road to get there was welcomed warmly and was able to choose our own pitch with a distant sea view, bit of a trek to get to the beach but great views in a great location, good showers and toilets. would recommend

Well we just love this place and have stayed here many many many times in our touring caravan. Joan and Aidan are fantastic. It's a beautiful spot, remote and peaceful with the roar of the ocean on your doorstep. If you are looking for amazing scenery and relaxation this is the place to be.
