I was hesitant on letting everyone know about this hidden gem. This is a review of the hotel, staff, their service and casino. Initially, we checked in a bit early and thankfully Joe was kind enough to consider our needs which was simple.. a quiet room with not so much foot traffic and we made sure it was away from the noise on Fremont street. Our rooms were 1515 and 1513. I was very pleased at how the room was exceptionally clean and get this, the shower pressure was excellent. Why they are missing a star... In room 1515 their was a problem with the A/C there was a loud somewhat whistling sound so we decided to leave it on the lowest temp and high pressure setting in hopes it would go away on its own. Thankfully it did. Please work with house keep as our door was knocked on at 9am and asked if we need service for the day. It was extremely inconvenient that we were woken up by that noise. Every day we were their housekeeping knocked on the door. I have a solution for this... where's the privacy signs? Lastly, the casino tables aren't open at night. I get it you can walk to California but we were at Main Street. Didn't make sense... If your looking to enjoy a quiet hotel this is the place to be.…
The effects of Covid can still be seen. Like the Triple 7 hours. But, most everything else is back like it use to be. Which is very pleasant. Especially with a diminished number of smokers. As usual, every one we dealt with was helpful and friendly. We're looking forward to being back again.
Brunch is over $20.00. Seems to be common price for a brunch. Nothing special about it. Food was fine. Service was excellent. I'd pass on this, I don't need brunch for breakfast. Large selection to choose from.
First I want to say that our group has stayed at Main Street station from the beginning. We even remember when it was Rosie O’Gradys. We stay a week in Vegas and get comp nights at 2-3 hotels including Main Street. Prior to going I called to get my comp nights and was told everyone has to start over with earning their rewards since the covid19 shutdown. So, I left a message twice for a manager to contact me. I never got a call. We decided they obviously didn’t want our business. So we went elsewhere. However, we did go to the casino and buffet to check it out and play a little. The Easter buffet has always been a tradition for us. It has changed a lot. There was no brisket or prime rib ! The dessert selection was reduced to half the choices. You no longer get a $2.00 discount with your players card unless you are a certain level of player. The only positive I saw was they added calzones to the buffet. The food was just ok but definitely not worth $30.00 plus. Now onto gaming here at Main Street. They have done away with the scratch cards promotion unless you play certain machines. (We play .10 cent supertimes video poker. Paying a minimum of $1.80 a hand …apparently that no longer qualifies for a scratch card). We just felt sad and disappointed in one of our favorite places to stay, dine and gamble. All four of us said we will probably not return in the future. I don’t know who’s in charge at Main Street but I would think you should be doing everything you can to bring back your loyal players.…
I'm a long time customer and this was my first visit in two years. I was enormously disappointed. 1. $20 for a breakfast buffet because you call it "brunch"???? Brunch does not occur at 8AM. 2. The pay table on VP machines were lowered. Only three NSUD machines are left. 3. The smell of sewage in the area of the casino between the bar and the Plaza Hotel is unbelievable. Each time the air conditioner vents went on you could smell the sewage. I understand that the pandemic has impacted all businesses and that employees are hard to find, but I also think some businesses are taking advantage of customers while using the pandemic as an excuse. On the upside, cocktail waitresses were plentiful and prompt. When I checked out of the hotel, I felt a sense of sadness. I knew that this hotel and casino that I have always liked would never see me again. I knew without a doubt that I would never be back. It truly was that bad of an experience and there are many other places to stay and play who will go out of their way to make my experience a good one. I also understood why on a busy weekend in Las Vegas, there were few people at Main Street.…
Recently again stayed at this hotel. The room was clean but the furnishings were a bit tired. The bed was comfortable. The casino was about empty and none of the tables were open. I have enjoyed my stay at this hotel in the past but now think that it is time to move to another hotel. Room was in need of renovatiion and the casino was not happeniing.
We booked this hotel as a cost effective option on a multi stop USA tour. Knowing how little we would spend in our room we opted for a budget hotel. We stayed here Christmas Day, and just a warning although there was a Christmas Tree up the hotel nor Vegas really celebrate so if you’re looking for festive, this isn’t the place. That’s in no way a criticism, just an observation. The hotel room was clean, but coming from the UK where smoking is banned indoor, the smell of smoke on the corridors and all downstairs was really disgusting. Our room didn’t smell thankfully. The window glass is really thin and you could hear busy road and railway 24/7, if you’re a light sleeper then ear plugs are a must. For £25 a night it was a bargain, and very close to Freemont Street. About 5 mins walk away from the hotel is a 7/11, here we bought some cereal/milk/snacks/beer to have breakfast etc which saved a fortune, there was a fridge in our room to store bits.…
I’d rate my stay at main station a 4.5. The Reason behindIs the fact that the front desk when I checked in was honestly kind of rude for no reason even though I asked him a very nice and simple question which was is there any room comps available And before I said anything else he said the only way I can get room comps was if I gamble at the hotel. I was Going to pay for any comps that were available for me but the front desk didn’t give me a chance. When we checked into our Room it honestly reminded me of a motel 6. The casino itself was honestly such a let down. It said on their website that they had two roulette tables and they’re was none. They’re was only one craps table open and it was always full so I could never play. The dealers at the hotel were rude and not exciting at all and I caused me not to want to play for more then 10 minutes. They also shut the the table games down at 12 and they have a sign saying if you still want to play you would have to go to the California hotel casino. If I wanted to play they’re I would of stayed there and not at main station. The last thing I have to say about main station is the buffet. I’ve heard so many reviews about this buffet and it was such a let down experience. The food was just like any other buffet and they don’t keep up with it. Most of the food I had was Luke warm. Also the staff was very grumpy and it made the experience feel like I was unwelcome. This about sums up the review and the question is would I stay here again?? No I wouldn’t and for the price of 161$ a night it’s not worth it! You would have a lot more fun staying at any casino near main station.…
Was not impressed by the front desk service at all. They are somewhat don’t care about their guest. Didn’t bother to go back and see them again after the bad taste I have experience. The rooms also are dated and need some refurbishment. Painting on the bathroom wall in my room is peeling and bubbling. The shower head is too low and not suitable for tall people. I found it odd which I had hard taking shower all time because I have to bow or duct a little to get showered. Found a hair strand in our mini fridge. During my time at the casinos, it was very rare for the waitress to approach me and ask for drink so I never bothered to look for them. And at one point, I had issue on the slot machine and took nearly half hour for the attendant to come. I was getting inpatient waiting. The food was ok at the buffet and I appreciated our male host that was serving us. The other staff that I appreciated was the bell team, Jim and the other two gentlemen that assisted us with my luggage on the arrival and departure.…
The local community was very glad to see that the Main Street Station casino was to reopen again, after a very long shut down for covid and economic reasons! The building is very historic and beautiful and has old fashion train cars outside for display. It is worth walking the entire area and notice the tradition wood and marble displays and the traditional las vegas theme. The customer service has really improved, since the last time that I had visited long ago. You can not beat their food and drink specials here, They have all different type of brews and you should get the sampler offer, where you get a small amount of each bear on a display. There is pool available,, meeting rooms/banquet facilities, and really good place to go and socialize in a relaxed, safe environment. They have a very good gift shop here to buy souvenirs or get some personal items. If you are from Hawaii, this is your preferred spot because they take over the casino setting. This hotel/casino is not quite on the fremont experience, which keeps the noise down for the hotel guest trying to get some sleep! The downside is that there is not really anything exciting to experience, especially towards having any live entertainment or clubs. Regardless, you should check this place out because these workers had to be laid off for a very long time and they are excited to be back at work here. jefferson lee-amazon book author…
