My friend and I took a trip to Vegas for the Life is Beautiful festival. I booked the Golden Nugget because it was within walking distance to the festival and I found a good deal on a hotel site. I was a little afraid that it would be noisy, hard to sleep there, or that the rooms would be dilapidated....

If you are looking for an Old Vegas experience the Golden Nugget may be for you. Although it has been recent remodeled, do not expect a state of the art ventilation system like the hotels on the strip. When you walk in you will immediately and throughout your stay smell cigarette smoke but then again, it's Vegas! I highly recommend...

We were so pleasantly surprised at the quality of this hotel. It is well kept up and very attractive. We were upgraded from a standard room and it was great. The staff was most helpful and one person walked me to where I wanted to go. Annette at the front desk was especially nice. We ate 3 meals there and...

First off, I want to say that I have stayed at the Golden Nugget in the past, and it WAS my favorite place to stay in Vegas. Sadly, I have to say that I won't be returning. We visited Vegas with friends who had never been, and the only place we told them about was the Golden Nugget. They were...

Had a great couple of nights here and perfect for Freemont Street. Had a problem with a backed up drain pipe in the bathroom which was unplesant but was fixed within 30 mins of making complaint. We didn't expect perfect everything for $69.00 per night. Linen was superb and towels were snow white and soft, room was clean. We had...

The rooms were very clean and large. Check in was quick and smooth, other than not getting a king-size bed as requested. Checked in at 7:00pm and no king beds available! Got a really good rate through their website, so don't know if that is why we didn't get what we requested. Lobby and rest of hotel was clean. Noticed...

This hotel is centrally located downtown. This is were Vegas started. Cool fishtank with sharks in the pool. Slide goes through tank. Decent room, no extras. Great restaurant inside the hotel (Vic and Anthony's) for the perfect steak. Service and staff were quit ok.

As soon as I walked into lobby to check in I was inundated with the stench of cigarette smoke. Within ten minutes my eyes were burning. Told front desk I didn't want a room near the elevator and where did I end up...next to elevator. Took an hour but I got a better room. Room is very nice but every...
