I visit the United States at least once a year and this is my first choice of where to stay in Las Vegas. Don’t get me wrong, it isn’t a 5* place and it isn’t in the middle of all the action, but it is clean and comfortable and the prices are fair. There are two standards of room and I suggest those in the Meadows block as they are slightly nicer and more modern. The hotel is located about 6 miles from the strip and whilst it’s possible to do it without a car I wouldn’t recommend it. The prices are a fraction of the strip and whilst they do have that ridiculous resort fee, it is significantly lower than you would pay elsewhere. Parking is free. The rooms are a reasonable size and clean and comfortable. All the bathrooms have a bathtub which, for me, is definitely a bonus. There is a large TV in the room and all the basic stuff you would need. Maid service is daily and the ladies are quite friendly and efficient. You can opt out of daily cleaning if you wish. There is an outdoor pool and hot tub and whilst I wasn’t expecting this to be open in December, it was, albeit intermittently. that was definitely a bonus. I would rate this as a three star hotel but it delivers five star standard within its category. Very strongly recommended. …
Check -in is in a super smoky, stinky casino lobby. The room is spacious and ok but the bedding needs attention. The bathroom on the other hand is disgusting . The mold on the walls and ceiling need serious attention and the sink does not drain properly. I would not recommend anybody stay here.
I have a group of friends that want to go here all the time. I personally have been going on and off since it was originally made. But, I prefer to go to other places. But this is the closest to my home. I hate dealing with the chain smokers everywhere, but I never say anything. I am a polite personal mostly never complain out loud even when I should. I will just report in in the reviews I place online. I even hesitated talking about this issues. I went a couple of weeks ago to AC to just cash in my change around my car and desk. which totaled$22,00 and some change. When put it in the change machine and took the ticket receipt to the Casino cage, politely waited for my turn to be served. The first cashier was helping a customer and a second cashier came up to help me. She smiled and said some pleasantries. After taking the ticket and making change for me. I remember a couple of works I didn't' really pay attention to here saying. But I did here the word "tip" spoken. I didn't really pay attention for I was just thinking to put my hand out for the money and I walked off. But when I counted the money she gave me, I was only $21 and some change. Now sometimes I do give a tip, but I did not know here and I am sure I didn't offered a tip. Not I think I was just dizzy from inhaling chain smokers smoke and smelling like a ash tray after only being in the building for minutes. After going to this place since it was a bowling alley in the 1980's,I will tell my friends that want to go and eat the cheap food. "HELL NO."…
Stay away!!! This place is an absolute joke!!! The casino smells like ashtray and wet dog. The staff is rude and incompetent. The food venues all serve disgusting food. The machines are the tightest in Vegas. The location is horrible. I was woken up twice by drug addicts that are lurking around. The area is very unsafe at night. There are too many other nicer places to stay than here. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!
Even though the desk and hotel staff was great and staff was helpful and kind the head of security was narrow mind and stereo typed me as a vagrant because we were sitting in my RV from 3:30-0800 am waiting to check in in Dec. Circus Circus was able to accommodate my 14 day stay at short notice without a problem. When I returned January and book a room giving them another chance front desk said not to worry all was good but come around to check security had labeled me as trespassing even though I paid for my room and dining. The embarrassing ordeal was way too much being followed around and kicked out by several security guards like if I was a criminal. The two words that labeled me incorrectly and forced them to kick me a paying customer out are “vagrant” & “trespassers “ I am sure the fact that I am Mexican and wife is black made it easier to bully us. The fact that I am a frequent customer and retired veteran prove that those labeled are far from the truth.…
Overrated, overpriced, dirty, smoky smelling rooms, bad neighborhood, look elsewhere. 20.00 dollar "resort"fee, this is no resort. Lots of wanna be gangsters in the casino, no patrol in parking lot, need i go on...?
I am a local and have been going to Charlie’s Decatur for years. Two weeks after reopening, walked right in. No temperature check. Yet if your mask is at the tip of your nose security is on you. Lowered my mask to have a drink, didn’t put it up fast enough and security is on you. Very uncomfortable to go there.
I was amazed how smoky it was after being shut down for 2 months. They sure didn’t didn’t do a deep clean like they should have . The staff was friendly enough. The thing that shocked me was how old and dirty everything was. I expected it to be refreshed, but they did nothing. I would not return here as you get what you pay for
Great friendly service and alway greeted at the door by friendly staff. Really good, affordable food, really nice rooms. Overall, thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely look to stay again in the future.
We had a great stay here. Booked 10 non smoking rooms which were good size, clean and recently renovated. Staff and service was excellent. We stayed at Circus Circus for other part of holiday and this was way better than CC and better rates when you factor in resort fee. Had a very good buffet too. Thoroughly recommend if you looking for an affordable option off the strip.
