Let me be up front: I don't like Vegas. Never have done and never will do. I don't like gambling and the general atmosphere makes me think of a US equivalent of Benidorm-hell but with better hotels, more expensive booze and food and a higher mobility scooter count. I recently planned a two week trip for a party of 8...

SAM'S TOWN HOTEL/CASINO is located off-strip on Boulder Highway. Great buffet and really good food in Pub. Also excellent food and service in specialty steakhouse: Billy Bob's. Low key and relaxed atmosphere in casino... just old-fashioned fun! Hotel/casino is built around an open air atrium with full grown trees and a Disney-like waterfall and animals. Very relaxing for a break...

The bad: No fan in bathroom, mold on the shower curtain, over 5 inches of standing water in the shower, awful musty, moldy smell in room. The ice machine was worn out and useless. What little bit of ice you could get came out like a slushee. Casino was scattered on different floors and slots are tight. Room service was...

At first this hotel seemed kind of fun. The lobby area was neat and the décor was well done. The room it self was nice and clean. No coffee maker, which was missed. After that it was pretty down hill. We ordered margaritas in the lobby lounge, and the service was terrible. The gaming area was the usual thing, nothing...

We loved being off the strip. We loved the slower pace at Sam's town, calmer crowd. Food was ok. Rooms were clean. We needed to relax and because this was a nice and quite place we got to do that. Prices were very reasonable for food and drinks. The bowling was very cheap, $2.50 per person per game. I loved that...

I've been coming to Sam's since 1998. Over the years there have been many wonderful changes (the expansion of the casino, the addition of a state-of-the-art sports book, the movie theater) and a few not so great changes (the loss of some great dining options, such as Felini's, the Harvest Cafe, and Mary's Diner to name a few). But what...

Room comfortable and nice & cool which is why I got the room in the first place as my AC at home could not handle the excessive heat. I am seeing that most of the Las Vegas hotels, including this one charge you an additional amount (here it was $9.99 + tax) which they call a "Resort Fee". I was...

Rooms were nothing to write home about. They were clean but very basic nothing fancy. The hotel seemed difficult to navigate around. Garage parking was covered, which was a plus but it was a long walk. The casino is not very large compared to Vegas standards. The plus is they do run a free shuttle to the strip and downtown...

Sam's Town is a great place to stay! Clean rooms and the "comps" are so much better when you don't stay on the strip! Food is also more reasonable and the staff there is outstanding! We stay there at least twice or 3 times a year!

This was my first time back to Sam's Town in over a year. We alway love to come there because this was my parent's place. Yesterday was a nightmare. We always valet where ever we go. We arrived at Sam's Town and we waited for an attendant to park our car. I took out the wheelchair from the back of...
