My brother and I stayed here for three nights. Luckily, we were here midweek, so it wasn't crowded at all. We wore our masks everywhere, but we didn't worry about running into people. It was great having a kitchen, so we could make our own meals when we didn't feel like going out to a restaurant. There's a Smith's grocery store just across the street. Everything was clean and comfortable in our 2-bedroom suite.

We came to Cancun in Vegas As a diamond member to celebrate my brothers’s 50th. We reserved a penthouse and a 2 bedroom only to find out then close the front part of the pool till 2pm. This is unacceptable as this is where 90% of your people sit and want to enter the water. I called 3 times to speak to front desk and they never called me back. Today I spoke with pool manger Carlos about this ans he basically said they don’t have the staff yet they have someone staffed to tell you to get out. We pay a lot of money to use our membership and their staffing issues should not be the customers problem. And poor decision to close the most occupied area of the pool seating and near the restaurant. Even when 2pm came we had to call again to tell them to take the sign down to open the pool. I would say 50 people seating near us were all very upset as well. We will not stay in this resort again and it is very poorly managed. Rooms are very outdated! Hallways in hotel very dirty musty smell. Called front desk in morning and no one answered phones. If you are going to use diamond resorts do your homework first. Read reviews!!! Look at pics and call to verify info regarding closing etc. when we booked this we were told all things were open. Very disappointed and horrible customer service! HH is only from 3-4pm... line is so long you waited 20 min to get a drink and you may get 2 rounds then Happy hour is over! Shortest HH I have been too! Only offer very few drinks. Slow... this place needs many upgrades.

This has been one of my worst hotel/condo experiences in 30+years of traveling the world. No joke. Day one: Lobby half full of no-mask travelers during check in, despite COVID restrictions being in effect; and they gave us a dark, no-view, bottom-grade room (in exchange for my valuable two-bedroom trade from Interval International). Day two: Sales presentation full of mask-free customers, deceptive salespeople ran a FULL Credit report on me despite my specifically saying I didn't want to buy, and their assurances that they were only doing a soft pull. (Therefore dinging my credit report!) Day three: Main pool closed for "maintenance." I saw no maintenance going on. Instead, I saw nearly 100 people crowded around the small pool area in the back. Few masks. COVID disaster in the making. Night three: Random fire alarm, with no cause, across EVERY BUILDING, at midnight, lasts nearly 45 minutes. Day 4: We left for another hotel, sacrificing the rest of the week-long vacation we'd paid for because we simply couldn't take anymore. Oh! Forgot about the dishwasher that fell out of the counter when we opened the door, and the toaster that nearly caught on fire. This place is so bad, I reported it to OSHA, and hope it gets shut down. BBB is next for the deceptive sales practices. DO NOT GO HERE NO MATTER HOW "Affordable" IT SEEMS!

I’m so disappointed in this resort. We have been here numerous times since about 10years ago. This time around I DID NOT like it one bit.The rooms are old in need of upgrading. Decor is outdated. Appliances are outdated. Same dirty carpet from 10 years ago. The atmosphere with other guests makes it feel like your standard motel 6. Only thing we like is the pool area, that never disappoints. We like booking here when we have our kids so we can be away from the hustle and bustle of the strip yet be close enough to get away for a few hours to gamble. We stayed 3 nights and on the day of check out decided to book 3 more nights at another resort through our timeshare. Cancun Resort is no longer going to be an option for us. Also, stop selling cheap rates on groupon! you have depreciated the resorts value. what a shame.

The 2 bedroom suites are awesome, it's my 3rd stay and everything you need is there including very comfortable beds and full kitchen with great coffee maker. A couple issues were no adult area and there are tons of kids and pool is crowded, they told us they would only take reservations but let everyone in and it was a madhouse. If you like quiet it's probably not for you. The service was great however...would like a pool waitress as well. Bar food great...but it's bar food. I was upset that I ordered $40 worth of drinks 2 minutes before happy hour and the bartender didn't tell us about HH.
