Late check-in as Room was not ready. New “no housekeeping” policy. Housekeeping does not answer phone. Front desk tells they will change towels and collect trash (but then nobody shows up). Would have been a great stay if it was not for the poor service …
This place had some issues, both Covid and non-Covid related. But overall, it was definitely a 5 star experience. The location is what makes this place for me. Right in the middle of the strip, but the hotel is hidden in a bit of a bowl. It is like being on the Strip without dealing with all the people. Nice and quiet. No casino, but very easy to get to Aria and Cosmopolitan, among others. The common areas are pretty typical of Waldorf, lots of dark wood and marble. You have to go up to the reception area from valet, separate elevators for room and hotel entrance. Always weird having to switch elevators. Nice area for afternoon tea and a bar with a legit view of the Strip. We liked the spa, but no hot tub or sauna, etc due to Covid. Pool looked nice and was pretty empty. As with the areas, the room is typical Waldorf, 5 star quality. Super comfortable bed. Good size, all the amenities. Service was very good, from reception to bar to spa. The valet was a man from NY and he was incredibly helpful with the family. For value, Waldorf ain't cheap, in either dollars or points. I think it's worth it, and I am a bit of a Hilton guy, but there are so many options in Vegas that are pretty close in quality but much lower prices that its hard to recommend. That, and I don't want anyone else ruining it.…
Jane Santos went above and beyond to provide myself and my guests with an outstanding experience, The property is beyond compare (especially the view) and the service from everyone was excellent! Get a "Pear of Aces" cocktail at the Skybar - you will feel like James Bond! Best Regards, Bill
Complimentary bottled water, suncreen, robes, car service , ev charging was great. Zen garden was great and cocktails at the Sky bar were great. Valet closet was awesome, service was top notch. Would love to come back.
We stayed in the "CITY VIEW ONE-BEDROOM SUITE" which was nice, peaceful, but will definitely go back for their SPA! Seriously, just do it. The decor was typical Waldorf, so you'll feel at home. Strange to have to switch elevators though. We will definitely be returning soon.
To be upfront about a few things. 1. We stayed two nights free with the “Hilton American Express” free night Certificates. 2. I am a Las Vegas local, and I’ve stayed in a few hotels around the city so it gives me a different perspective… I’ll begin with the greatest thing about this hotel; the employees. From Brandon at the front desk, to Taylor the concierge, the awesome valet attendants and all the employees in between. The housekeepers and the maintenance guy walking down the hallway, the pool attendants, the servers, all five-star friendly, attentive and fantastic. In a big busy hotel like this, you are not going to get your personal name service, but you will feel like they know and remember you. Some of the good: • The Hilton app works perfect here. The digital key, great. The direct messages to the hotel; very responsive and helpful. • Hotel layout is great. The hallways are not that long, so even a room at the end of the hall is not that long of a walk. • Room layout, bathroom setup, separate shower, and toilet closet, works well. The huge closet area with robes (2), slippers (2), hangers, iron, and board. • The valet closet. Employees can drop of towels and supplies in closet without entering the room. I really like this feature. • Call or text: valet had car there when I arrived. Ice bucket filled within minutes. Extra towels delivered in minutes. Serious, the customer service experience is really good here. • The room furniture was comfortable and seemed newer (except the mattress see below). • The pools are great. Plenty of chairs. 3 pools and 2 hot tubs. Steam room and showers. Great fitness center The not-so good: • The bed seems old. It was well worn, and you could feel the height and support difference as you rolled over on the bed. Very lumpy and not supportive. • There was no sheet between the blanket and the bed. I usually sleep with just a sheet at night. This was the first hotel I’ve ever stayed in without a sheet??? • The bathroom. The toilet is old and rocked a little. The shower has a handheld (had no pressure) which would not completely shut off, so it took away some water pressure from the shower. The shower overall did not have great pressure. Random stuff: • As a diamond member, I did not receive a room upgrade, Honestly, my status was not even address anytime on property. I was a little disappointed in this as I worked hard to earn that status. But, I did receive an early check-in. • The amenities; shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, body lotion, bath salt, shower cap, Q-tips all stocked and ready in the room.. Nice touch. Overall, the service, amazing. The property design, weird, going up to the lobby in an elevator, just to go down to your room or the pool, is odd and time consuming. The room itself, Its time for some refurbishment. Will I return, YES! (Especially for free, haha)…
Best hotel in Las Vegas! My family and I stayed in this hotel and we were in awe on how nice the rooms were even w/o the room upgrade. Aside from the disconnected elevators to check-in and getting to the room, the rest was amazing. We would definite be returning to this hotel!
Beautiful hotel but staff needs training. Kept us waiting at front desk while they searched for a room for us. Offered us an upgrade at a cost which I declined and had a hard time finding a room with a king size bed that we paid for. Do not disturb button Switched on automatically while we were out and when we got back to room discovered it would not shut off. Had to send serviceman to fix it but when I told them at housekeeping that room wasn’t made up at 7pm on a Sunday day night was told housekeeping was closed and they could not make room up!! Eventually they managed to get a maid but not without a fuss. Bathtub had a lot of “foreign” hairs - obviously not cleaned well from previous guests.
I am a diamond member of Hilton for years. Nothing against any Hilton properties they are all great, but this Waldorf is the best property i have ever stayed at PERIOD. the best location in Vegas PERIOD and best hotel in Vegas PERIOD
I thought this would be the queen of hotels, but it was just not as fabulous as other hotels down the strip. I wasn’t able to check in until 5:45 pm even though check in should have been at 4. They kept telling me that the cleaning is factor of housekeeping needed to inspect the room and that’s why it was taking so long. The runs in the lobby on the 23rd floor were just filthy. I thought at the Waldorf Astoria was going to be a dream, but in reality it was just a B- hotel with a name like Hilton Waldorf Astoria to fool you. I won’t be returning.
