Beautiful location, $30 resort fee per day for a pool and hot tub is a bit outrageous. Food is between poor( Cutthroat Saloon) to over the top ( Lone Eagle Saloon) Nice location though. Would never stay there again

This is our third visit to this property, first visit in winter, and it is a winter wonderland! I love the snow everywhere, making the hotel grounds quite magical looking. The room was excellent, and the hot tubs/pools are fun in the freezing cold. The only down side is that people do not observe the adults only signs. Children are...

You can tell that this hotel was probably quite impressive 10 or so years ago; however it is in need of an update. Positives would include gorgeous bathroom, great hot tub, swim out pool and spa (possibly best pedi ever), and fantastic steakhouse/ upscale American fare in a casual environment. Lots of noise on the levels of the rooms, lackluster...

From the moment we walked in we knew we had chosen the best place for our stay in Tahoe. The staff was wonderful, we even had a free champagne toast on check-in! The room was great, we had a great view of the beautiful mountains and even a bit of the lake. The food choices within the hotel were okay....

We had an exceptional time celebrating our daughter's 21st birthday here. Everybody was very kind and accommodating and made the weekend special for our daughter. We enjoyed several of the restaurants, was greeted with a champagne toast, even though it was snowing outside we thoroughly enjoyed the swimming pool and hot tubs.

Very clean and comfortable room with great service. Check in was quick. The valets were very helpful, friendly and professional. The Lounge didn't have a great selection of appetisers for Happy Hour, but was clean and comfortable. Breakfast on the other hand had great variety. The restaurant was fantastic!

The resort is beautiful. The staff was terrific as well. The only thing I wish would change is the selection of food and drinks at the Club Lounge. I am a diamond member and was able to access the lounge. Having been to numerous Hyatt Regency hotels, and Grand Hyatt hotels, I am aware of what is the normal standard...

No down side at this hotel. It was very busy - it is a great location so go figure. :-) My only meal there was a burger in the Sierra Cafe. It was pricey - that as my first thought. BUT - and this is important, folks - it was absolutely delicious. Delicious! The burger, the bun, everything. So you...

During our stay, I had a pair of really nice sunglasses stolen from our room. The hotel did give us a credit to reimburse the stolen item but if your visiting, keep your valuables locked up, including sunglasses. Worst feeling knowing that your personal items have been stolen, especially at a hotel like the Hyatt. Security policies need to be...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A spectacular setting on Lake Tahoe’s north shore with 500 feet of private, lakefront beach. Surrounded by towering pines and mountain greenery; 35 miles to Reno/Tahoe Int’l Airport; 40 miles to South Lake Tahoe Airport. Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino was recreated in the classic style of a 1920s alpine grand lodge. Exterior renovations of river rock and shingles complement the natural environment with colors echoing the tradition and sense of history of the original homes built in the Tahoe area. Extensive river rock landscaping and two outdoor fireplaces add to the guests' sense of arrival at the "Old Tahoe-Lodge" style entrance. The resort's Grand Lobby boasts crafted stonework, creating a cozy setting amid the warmth of an oversized double-sided fireplace, rich leather chairs and high-beam ceilings. The 421 guestrooms, including 24 lakeside cottages, have been decorated with natural pine, distressed wood, and leather furnishings, reflecting the setting with autumn colors of moss, brick red and wheat. Included in our Lake Tahoe resort's $60 million transformation was the addition of the Spa Terrace, a new three-story wing adjacent to the main 12-story hotel. Offering 138 luxury guestrooms with views of the Sierra Nevada skyline, the addition provides visitors with private balconies and breathtaking lake views. The Spa Terrace replaces the resort's former Aspen Terrace and overlooks the resort's new swimming pools. ... more   less
