Definitely go see the courthouse museum and learn about the area , including "Snow Shoe Thomson" who delived mail in the 1800's in the back country on alpine ski's ... he was the guy who brought Alpine skiing to North America !... Quick H&W getaway. We wanted to try the new restaurant in town, the Pink House, and we wanted a room nearby. Quite comfortable. Bunch of wild deer in the yard would be a novelty, except that our own yard is overrun with them also.

We spent one night in Genoa NV at the Wild Rose Inn. Our room had a western theme and was very comfortable. The breakfast was lovely, and since I was a vendor at the Candy Dance and had to be there early, the owner packed up a generous plate and sent it over with my husband. It's a place to... More

This little town that time forgot, Genoa, Nevada, has a beautiful bed-and-breakfast inn that we highly recommend for adult travelers exploring the Carson Valley in the north-eastern Sierras. Located at the northern end of the tiny village's three-block Main Street, it sits on a slight rise in the middle of a lovely garden. With only five or six rooms, it... More

What a wonderful relaxing gem! Right at the foot of gorgeous mountain views. This unique B&B is ideal for those looking to get away from it all. The inn is located right in the historic Genoa, where you can have a peaceful picnic and a cold beer in the oldest saloon. We had a delightful time with the owners Jeannette and... More

My husband and I spent the night here after a function at the Genoa golf club. We checked in at about 3.30 in the afternoon and were met by Jeannette, the owner. She showed us around the property and checked on our requirements for breakfast. She made sure we were comfortable in our room and if we needed help with... More
