Lovely lodge furnishings but indifferent customer service. Room smaller than average, but clean and serviceable. Would prefer vanity area to be a separate area with door. Free WIFI was easy to access. Did not experience breakfast as it didn't open until 6:30AM.

Thank you for your response. Our rooms are consistent with Holiday Inn Express standard size dimensions with room/suite type options to choose from. We strive to provide great service consistently, however, an occasional unintended concern can arise and our policy is to address it in a timely manner. Consistent with most hotel brands our breakfast room technically opens at 6:30...

If you're traveling west on Interstate 80 and find you need to stop for the night in Ogallala, stop here. I'm not sure it was built as an HIE, but it is a very comfortable hotel, super clean, well-maintained and has two of the friendliest, most diligent breakfast ladies we've ever encountered!

Thank you for staying with us. We were originally built as a Holiday Inn Express but our property being in the heart of the "Old West", and our city known as the Cowboy Capitol of NE, we are a western themed hotel with a western motif but still according to stringent franchise standards for a consistent overall experience. It's our...

The rooms are clean, wi-fi and breakfast are provided free of charge. For us, this was a stop on the way home from vacation. I had never seen a hotel designed quite like this one---first floor rooms were more like motel rooms with parking outside your door, whild 2nd floor rooms were more traditional hotel rooms, accessed via elevator. Our...

Thank you for your review. Being in Ogallala, NE, the property was built to represent this areas old west heritage. Our western décor and design is something different than the big city styles that appear more contemporary. We do have half of the 1st floor rooms that have a drive up entrance as well as the room being accessible from...

We spent one night here on a cross country trip. The room was not as large as I would have expected for the price, but it was adequate and clean. In addition to a king size bed, there was a comfortable armchair and a desk and chair. The bathroom was small and the sink area, which was outside the bathroom,...

Thank you for your review. Our housekeeping and maintenance staff work hard to maintain the rooms to your expectations. I will pass on your favorable comments regarding the cleanliness of your room and the well maintained breakfast room by our morning hosts. The rooms were originally built to Holiday Inn Express standards and reflect the brands fairly consistent design regarding...

We called on Saturday night, looking for three rooms at the last minute, and were promptly accommodated. The manager on duty was pleasant and helpful, and made us feel welcome and at home. This hotel saved our trip, as the hotel we originally booked was in very bad shape. We went to 3 Margaritas for dinner, and it was the...

Thank you for choosing Holiday Inn Express, Ogallala. It's our goal to meet and exceed your expectations from the moment you reserve your room until you depart our hotel. Thank you for your comments. Our western themed property offers the historical feel of our reputation for being the Cowboy Capital of Nebraska and a taste of the "Old West", but with up to date furnishings and a great SmartStart Breakfast in the morning. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Very western themed complete with an antler chandelier... I am not a 'kill animals for sport' kind of person so it made me kind of uncomfortable. Nice clean room (although my dog did find an oatmeal cookie under the bed). Pet friendly, but there is only a tiny little grassy area where the pets can go potty :/ I don't...

We value your input. Hopefully you expressed your concern associated with your dog prior to check-out in order for us to determine who was assigned this room for housekeeping service. We strive for and usually receive high marks on the quality and consistency of the cleanliness of our rooms. An occasional unintended oversight can occur during our fill season and...

Thank you for your review as we appreciate your input in order to address concerns that will make your stay better next time. During the peak summer season all hotels base their rates on supply and demand. We are located on the busiest Interstate (80) in the country which creates a great demand for our hotel so rates are based...

I chose this motel because I assumed it would be like other Holiday Inn Expresses. It is not due to it's western theme, fake log cabin furniture. I'm sorry that you perceived our western décor as something other than expected. The log furniture is indeed genuine as the person who designed and made it used real logs from South Dakota where he specialized in building it for western themed properties such as ours. Some of our guest rooms have accent walls that try to get away from...
