Love staying here. Beautiful resort. Thought I would spend a bit more to be on the better side of the road, but ended up getting a room facing the road just on the other side. Lake view or the second lodge would be my suggestion....More
We stayed in the Lodge and found the experience to be great from the start to finish. We were greeted at the car in a warm friendly manner and that continued with the staff at reception. Once checked in we went to our room which...More

I have been working on a matter that requires travel to the Flathead Valley about once a month. The Lodge is quite popular, and there has never been a room available in the short lead time my trips allow. However, last week--the week before Thanksgiving--there...More
The pool is so small its cute. The gym is adequate. The bar is good, the shuttle is good, the people are friendly. The maitre d at the restaurant was a bit clueless and abrupt, maybe she had had a bad day.

It is snowy in Whitefish in March, and temperatures will likely be in the 30s. Snowshoeing in Glacier National Park is a great activity for those that like to hike, and snowshoe rentals are available at the Lodge!

MaryEllen had some great comments to share on our Luxury Homes that I would echo. One note, however, is just clarifying that unfortunately, most homes do not offer use of the garage as that is where homeowners will store their items. I do have one home in our rental pool that the use of the garage is permitted on.
All homes are fully furnished and equipped with high-end appliances. Rental includes access to all resort amenities, of course. We offer two bedroom and four bedroom options in homes as well. While I am not certain which review you may be referencing from a stay in a home, the prevailing majority of guests that have experienced a stay in a Luxury Home appreciate the privacy the homes offer, as well as the comforts of home while traveling. I would strongly encourage you to take a moment to view the page on our website dedicated to these homes (lodgeatwhitefishlake . com > Accommodations > Viking Creek Luxury Homes). From that page, you can also select individual homes from the list to view more information and images of that exact unit.
All homes are quite new, with the most recent addition just a month ago. They are within a short walking distance to the Main Lodge entrance. Additionally, they are situated next to the Viking Creek Wetland Nature Preserve and it is not uncommon for guests in our homes to see wildlife (namely deer) peeking through the woods during their visit. The homes provide a unique and memorable Montana getaway.
Hope this may help!
