We had a truly wonderful stay here. From lovely comfortable rooms, a gourmet breakfast, port by the fireplace in the evening, coffee brought up to our room in the morning and chocolates on our pillows at night. The Inn is also run by two lovely people who took the time to chat with us about the town and its history....

This is one of those B&Bs that you compare other B&Bs to. The house is comfortable and full of character but what really makes the experience soar is Chris, one of the owners. (Perhaps the other owner is equally lovely but we didn't meet him/her so can't comment.) There are 5 rooms - 1 downstairs and the rest upstairs -...

At the time of this posting, there were 196 reviews on TripAdvisor about the Garden Wall Inn. An overwhelming number of those reviews (191 or 97.4% to be precise) rated the inn 5 out of 5. It is for that reason that I am flummoxed how this property is only the #4 ranked property in Whitefish. Inexplicably, GWI sits behind...

We had a great time this winter staying in the King room - loved the extra space (as we usually stay in one of the cozy queen rooms). The bigger room and bathroom - and clawfoot tub - were great to spread out in. We always have a great time getting to meet fellow guests over breakfast, and happy hour...

My wife and I stayed at the Garden Wall Inn for 2 nights in March and totally enjoyed our stay at this wonderful establishment. From the moment you walk in to the home you are made to feel right at home. Chris and Rhonda do a fabulous job making you feel comfortable just as if you were in your own...

I typically shy away from Bed and Breakfasts but after reading the wonderful reviews and seeing the charming photos (and gourmet breakfasts), I knew I had to try it. We stayed here for 2 nights in the beginning of August. It was a winter wonderland and the Inn was lit up beautifully with twinkle lights and other winter decor. Daily...

The best. Awesome place to stay. Rhonda and Chris made us feel very welcome. They were great; they helped us with dinner reservations, provided directions and made suggestions for what to do while in the area. They were very knowledgable about everything. The breakfast was fabulous. The room and bed were very comfortable and clean. The location is great, it...

This was one of the best bed and breakfasts that we've ever visited, and we've traveled extensively. It's a lovely house with very comfortable rooms; we stayed in two different rooms and even the smaller of the two on the bottom floor was lovely and spacious enough. The breakfasts are truly amazing and feature mouth-watering local fruits, meats and home-baked...

We stayed over Christmas at what has become a "Home away from home" as GWI is our favourite place to stay in the Whitefish area. I have lost count as to the number of times that we have stayed and have been pampered by owners Chris and Rhonda. Everything from the ambiance, the rooms, the food is a 5 star...

The Garden Wall Inn is our favorite place in the world! The town, the Inn, it's all amazing. Chris is simply the best at what he does. He has a passion for his work and truly knows this business and this town. The food is outstanding, evening social time relaxing and informative. We have stayed here each of the last...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The award-winning Garden Wall Inn has been catering to discerning travelers since 1987. The impeccably restored 1920’s inn offers five luxurious guestrooms, each furnished with period antiques. Scrumptious three-course breakfasts are prepared by chef/owners Rhonda Fitzgerald and Chris Schustrom. The Inn is a convenient one-block walk from downtown Whitefish’s excellent restaurants, shops and nightspots. Only 25 minutes from Glacier National Park, the Inn is the perfect base for exploring the Park. The Inn is built in the "Colonial Revival" style with a gambrel roof and clapboard siding. The interior is accented by original solid maple flooring, arts-and-crafts fir moldings, and beveled-glass french doors. The guestrooms’ private baths boast huge claw-foot tubs, pedestal sinks, and black-and-white art-deco tile. Oriental carpets and fine antique furniture complement the lovely rooms. ... more   less
