Nice resort, in renovation but not a problem. Our unit was newly renovated, we were very pleased with accommodations. Check in was easy, employees were friendly. West Yellowstone is small town and many stores were closed. Visit the Slippery Otter for dinner. French Onion soup...More

They do have fans but Yellowstone is at 8,000 feet so it is cooler.

Obvioisly the Summer months but that is peak season with lots of crowds at every stop. We visited in late September and the weather was great. It was in the 30's at night but warmed up to the 50's and 60's during the day.

I don't believe there are any very close but I think there are ski resorts in Big Sky. Sorry I really don't know, but there are no ski resorts in west yellowston.
