My family and I just had a 2-night stay at Pony Express Motel, and we were pleasantly surprised. This property is basically a no-frills annex of Brandin' Iron Inn. For less than $100, we got a 2-queen room. 1 bed is actually in a private room. We found the room spacious, clean and cozy. Brandin' Iron is just a short... More

After reading reviews and doing price comparisons, I was worried that this would be an old scuzzy motel. The price is about 1/3 - 1/2 the price of other outrageously priced hotels in the area. However I was sort of pleasantly surprised. We were in a cabin (#2) which had 2 queen beds...one in a private bedroom. It was large... More

We were on the road for 22 nights and stayed here for three nights. We would stay at this hotel again. The room was huge! Actually two separate rooms and a bathroom. Three total beds in all which was fantastic as my two kids didn't have to sleep together. The price was also great. It was very clean. It was... More

We just spent three nights at the Pony Express. It is rustic but, it's very clean and the beds are nice and firm if you like it that way. It's just down the street from Yellowstone and very close to eating places that you can walk to. The price is right because West Yellowstone isn't cheap. Would stay again.

cheap, clean, right at park entrance. 3 room suite is nice for a gang. close to everything. Part of the Brandin Iron hotel up the street. short walk to office. On edge of town, quiet. we like to fish in the park spring and fall.

We were told it had A/C and free breakfast but it had neither. We were encouraged to 'try to use' the adjacent sister hotel's wifi, it didn't really work. The rooms are very dated and run down. Barely any working lights in the room. The beds did the job and the location was convenient. Make sure to book early or... More

Hey Greg - The Pony Express is an economy Motel, with rustic character and charm. It isn't a perfect fit for everyone, but in a town where most rooms are sold for $200-$400 per night, the Pony Express is an attractive option that's under $100. We've taken great pride in maintaining this motel, and as you noted, the beds are... More

We stayed for 2 nights in a two queen room. Each bed was in a separate room for privacy. Large front bedroom and good sized bathroom. A value for the area and a good location as well. I would definitely stay again

This was a great little place to have a short stay. It was very clean and comfortable. The employees were very considerate, friendly and accommodating. Super convenient location and an amazing price considering the going rates for other properties in the area. We would definitely stay there again.

We had stayed at the Pony Express several years before, so we knew not to expect a lot of amenities, but this time we were on the Street instead of in the Court yard, and I was pleasantly surprised. The room was not as rustic as the other rooms, but was larger and the bathroom was much larger with a... More

I read some of the reviews and called for the price. I was told we could get a 2 queen room for $89 a night. Everything in the park was sold out. We got two small rooms with queen beds. The bathroom was large with a tub. This is a very basic room. No fridge, microwave, coffee, no lamps, only... More
