We stayed in the grizzly cabin for 3 nights in June. It was very spacious for my husband and I and 3 kids. It was a good place to come "home" to after out hiking all day. They only complaint is the hot water for the shower ran out too quickly! It had a great view and very clean.

The best asset this place has is its location. The motel is on its own on a hill above St Mary and the restaurant is a short walk from any room. The room itself was outdated and the shower pipes made wild animal noises. Not intentional, i'm sure they could have fun with signs about it but there was no...

This motel is nestled on a hillside overlooking a lake and the east slope of the mountains of Glacier National Park. Motel employees are friendly and accommodating. Rooms are spacious. Bathroom is small, but it doesn't matter. Motel is walking distance to a family restaurant. Although I rated this as a 3/5, don't let that fool you. The motel is...

Great location, short distance to GNP east entrance. We had a basic no frills room with small refrigerator, microwave and T.V. If you plan on spending most of your time at GNP this is the perfect place to regroup. Excellent restaurant right next door, and great leaves from the property. Motel was tidy and clean, and everything in the room...

Friendly staff & ideal location with free coffee in the morning. Rooms are a little run-down and not worth the price tag, but this was the only option in the area open this time of year so the owner takes advantage of that fact.

The location is good for proximity to Glacier National Park. The motel is old and tired, but pretty clean. It is the least expensive of the hotels in this area, and adequate for a day or two. The is a laundromat on premises which was helpful. The bed was comfortable. The view from our upstairs room and communal porch was...

We were stuck. This was the only place remotely near our budget. Had to have close proximity to Glacier but vehicle was too long for Going to Sun Road. We probably should have splurged on the Lodge, but alas. No. My main shock here was the lack of in-room Wi-Fi. You are invited to use the filthy outside deck near...

Choices are limited on where to stay on the east end of Glacier. BUT the east end has great mountain views! When we booked a hotel, the Red Eagle was the only one available! There is a very expensive hotel in the area - but it was a bit pricey. The Red Eagle was quiet, the beds were comfortable, and...

Looking for a luxury resort? Not this place. It's been around awhile and it shows, but nothing of that takes away from the fact that it's a clean, safe place to stay. The whole complex actually has the motel itself, cabins, and a campground. The best thing I found about it is Johnson's Cafe, which is on the site and...

Just because everything else in town is insanely overpriced does not make this place any better. The Red Eagle should have been renovated 30 years ago. It's the closest I've ever been to staying in an 1800's miners cabin. If you you want to go back in time, then be my guest. The rooms we had (4), were all of...
