Wow! We absolutely loved our time at Rock Creek Resort. We mentioned we would be checking in a little later than we thought (we were caught in a storm) and the manager made sure someone was waiting for us. The lobby is a log cabin dream, with a massive stone fireplace and comfy

I was a little nervous about staying here based on reviews. I was pleasantly surprised. It was probably my favorite place for our trip. We stayed in a studio with Murphy bed in the main bldg. We sat on the balcony and listened to the creek all evening. The Murphy bed was

Can my dog stay?
Yes. We have traveled with our dog a few times to Rock Creek. I would suggest that you request a room on the ground level because, depending on which building your room is, access can be more difficult to some of the upper levels. They do request that you keep your dog on leash in the common areas. I cannot remember if their pet fees are non-refundable or how much they are in addition to their room fees. You would have to call to inquire. If your dog requires exercise or you want to play, there is a big, open field-like area where we play Chuck-It and Frisbee with our Golden, and, of course, she loves Rock Creek that flows behind the main lodge.

How far are you from entrance to Yellowstone Park?
The resort is located approximately 62 miles from the N. E. entrance to Yellowstone Park. We sit at the bottom of the Beartooth Pass one of the most beautiful highways in the country (check it out online). The pass is only open on a seasonal basis usually from Memoral Day to October. Although it is only 62 miles, the road is full of switchbacks and takes close to 3 hours. It also is so stunning you want to take your time and stop to see the views. Enjoy!
