Our room was clean and comfortable, with a private bath. The healing hot springs were a treat, and the dinner was over the top. Definitely make reservations well in advance. I liked it so well, I bought the cookbook. The setting is incomparable.
Went for a wedding that was held in the field of dreams, what a lovely setting. Enjoyed the bar food and they even had vegetarian options! We stayed in the main lodge and it is definitely old, could use some updating. Shared bathroom was no...More
Went to Chico for my girlfriend's birthday and again a few days later to meet friends doing a Yellowstone Park tour. Impressed both times. Prices were very reasonable, food and drinks were great, and portions were big. Ordered bottles of wine each timr that would...More

Good questions! We typically visit Chico each year for our Anniversary also —-in February! It’s glorious in the winter! See if the caboose is available. Be sure to make dinner reservations! The restaurant is wonderful! Talk to the reservations staff-they’re friendly and accommodating and really want you to have a great stay. You may be surprised to find how little is available as far as rooms are concerned-Chico books up like crazy. It’s a great place. The spa and the hot spring water is the best. We’ve been coming to Chico for over a dozen years now. Love it every time. The roads are maintained. If you fly in to Bozeman( nearest airport) rent a four-wheel Drive and enjoy the scenery. Remember it’s winter in Montana-you will be dealing with snow, not rain. It’s best to think of it as an adventure! To us, it’s beautiful place. Others see the difficulties. I hope you have a lovely stay!
