Lovely 'historic' (by American standards!) hotel. Beautifully maintained in the old style. There is noise from the trains and people coming and going, but no more than expected when the location is in town. We had a small suite so it wasn't cheap and cheerful and had everything we needed for a comfortable night's stay. Staff unfailingly helpful and friendly....

Super friendly staff. Lovely room. Do yourself a favor and splurge on dinner next door. Lobby is a mini museum. Lots of trains go by across the street! Super clean & tastefully decorated. Earplugs are provided so no complaining!

Old interesting hotel with some period fixtures and fittings. An ancient lift serves the upper floors but is staff controlled which means find an operator. Being on the 4th floor the novelty rapidly wore off! I had a very comfortable room but be aware the hotel is on a busy road and near to a rail line therefore constant noise...

The staff was incredible!!! Perfect location in town for walking around and exploring. The lobby of the hotel was charming and inviting. The added amenities that the staff leave in the room were a nice touch. Just being in a historic hotel in such a historic town was worth the drive from CA to MT.

Great historical hotel to stay in. Lots of history. The desk attendant was very informative and helpful. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Would definitely stay again. We stayed because we were in Livingston to see The Bellamy Brothers. If you get a chance stop by Gil's.

When we arrived the only elevator was not operational and we were on the 4 th floor. Had to wait an hour. Once it was operational we had to wait for an employee yo run the elevator. So every time you need Ed the elevator you had to wait for someone from the front desk. When they say free wifi...

Great place to stay. Very close to restaurants, music, arts, fishing, hiking and horses. The rooms are fabulous, clean and comfortable. The vintage elevator adds to the charm. I especially love the train station across the street and all the activity that comes with it. I feel like I've stepped back in time. The restaurants attached to the Murray are...

We were only able to stay one night in the hotel and our room was wonderful! Modernized but still old western enough to make you feel like you are stepping back in time. The elevator is the original and is only used for luggage as only employees are trained to run it. The decor was worth the trip alone! Attached...

The Murray Hotel is a fun experience in itself. Quaint and modernized just enough to be comfortable, but leaving history untouched. Our room was VERY clean and comfortable, flat screen TV, updated bedding, basically everything that you need. Probably not suited for children, but a fantastic place for couples. Within walking distance of places to eat and drink. Staff was...

We stayed at The Murray Hotel based on a reco from a friend who stayed the previous year. A bit pricier than the chains but we had a junior suite with 2 queen beds, I believe 'The Cowgirl Room'. They set up an extra air conditioner and had already cooled the room before we arrived. The noise from the air...
