I used to stay regularly at the Alpine. I lived and worked in Yellowstone for 5 years and Alpine Motel was one of my regular weekend getaways. The property is well managed, rooms are clean, and rates are affordable. Cooke City often gets overlooked as a place to stay when visiting the park, but those that try it find out...

My wife and I booked in here for a night as we were staying in Old Faithful and it was too far to drive from there to the Lamar Valley for dawn, which is when you need to be there to stand the best chance of viewing the wildlife. Accommodation is basic but OK and what you would expect of...

We have a cabin by Lake Kersey so we stay here when before we go into the cabin. They are always so nice and helpful. It's also a great place to stay and explore Yellowstone in day trips. You'll love it!

Cooke City is very close to get to Lamar Valley to find animals (including wolves) early in the morning. Town has NO cell service so staying here is like going back to the 80's. Room was comfortable and easy to step across the street to have dinner at the Bistro.

Nice management Comfortable room. Great views. Not at all a luxury hotel but simple, clean charm. The manager has so much information about the area and is more than willing to share his knowledge. It was a very pleasant experience. Nice location near Yellowstone.

The room was very nice. Rather small, but very cleverly laid out with custom furniture and cabinets which were designed to make best use of the space. All the horizontal surfaces were attached to the wall to save floor space. The only problem was that there was no way to make up for the tiny shower - so small it...

We stayed here on our first and last night visiting Yellowstone. The place is small and comfy offering excellent views (if you step outside into the parking lot), free Wi-Fi (which was a must for posting pictures and checking social media) and the owners were super friendly. If you're looking for an upscale place, this is not it but it's...

It was clean, basic, no frills, and kind of small. There was a small fridge. Only a double bed. The door could be opened very easily from the outside even when it was locked. Across the street there was a token-operated washer available to guests. You buy the tokens from the Alpine's owner. I would be ok with staying here...

I often wonder what people expect reading other reviews! Cooke city is a "cool" rustic small town in Montana. Anyone expecting the Hilton should not come to Cooke city. That is whats we like about it....you won't find the Hilton here or any other foo foo establishments! Accommodations are basic! I have stayed at 4 locations in Cooke city over...

We enjoyed our stay for many reasons. The staff is kind and very helpful. The rooms were spacious for all of our family/traveling gear. We loved to location as well. We splurged and got the apartment sized room for a night so we could all catch up on sleep and it was very spacious and quiet.
